I own a Tekin Redline 5.5 motor I have been running in my B44 for 2 years now. Today I installed the B44 cam style motor mount, and noticed a problem. The holes on the Tekin motor are spaced about .5mm further apart than the Orion and Trinity Duo 2 motors I own. As a result the motor cam for the B44 will not fit the Tekin motor, however it will fit the other two motors I own. Anyone else have this issue? Any info will help.

Hrmm, I'm running my Tekin 6.5 in my B44.1

My Tekin 7.5 fits without issue.

Here's what I have, notice the alignment on the screw holes with just one screw in. Weird, eh?

Had a Tekin 10.5 that had the screw holes at an angle. Tekin replaced the end cap/bearing free of charge.

Haven't seen ya in a while. I decided to take a peek in here to check out the B44.1. I'm really considering getting one, but I'm skeptical on the 1/10th 4x4 scene. How do you like yours? More than the RC8? Less? Different? Does it have any downfalls?

A track opened very local to me that races 4x4 1/10th buggies and I'm really itching to get one. I ended up getting a SC10, but I'm just thinking the buggy is more my style.

I have a RS Pro 8.5 mtr. in my SC10. I was thinking of selling the SC10 as a roller and moving that power plant over. Think an 8.5 is enough? I noticed you're running a 6.5.

I had a motor with the same problem, which Tekin took care of me on. The screws in this particular motor are straight, just seem to be spaced out differently. It's weird.

The Stock set-up or the Team LiPo set-up available at AE website are both good starting points. The Lipo Set-up is older, but works great IMO.

Motor Question:

I have a TEKIN 8.5 w/RS Pro in my SC10 I was planning on possibly (if I purchase) a B44.1.

Will this motor work fine in this car?

How do you guys like this car overall? Is it good on an array of off-road surfaces?

8.5T is great for most normal sized tracks. Some go as far as 6.5T for the bigger tracks, but a 8.5T boosted could certainly keep up.

As far as the car goes, I feel it is very stable and easy to control. It is durable, fairly easy to tune, and the US LiPo Set-up works almost everywhere with only minor tweaks. Front shock shafts and ball cups seem to be the common failures which don't happen that often. It is a good, sound platform.

What do you mean by "US lipo set up"?

Hello guys new here.

So I got a brand new b44.1. Still alittle new to all this racing stuff.

I have a new motor set-up I got for a great deal a Castle sct sidewinder with a 3800kv (85.00 brand new) and yes I know i should of got a turn set-up but that will be soon. And I know its not the right one for the truck. It was to go into my slash.

Wanted to know what pinion gear I should run to make it perform the best overall?

any help would help me out.

+1. 6.5+ will be plenty unless you are a team ae driver, or better.
