I pieced my set up together....bought a used (almost new) Tekin SC4X 4.5 and a Speed Passion GT PRO v2.0 and it cost me $140 shipped for those two. Oh, I bought these 2 items from the for sale section here on RCTECH.
I am running 15T pinion and 2S and it is plenty fast. It temps at 135-140F on the motor and about 95F on the ESC and the battery is luke warm 80F maybe.
This is after about 15-20 minutes of running at my local indoor track.

i cant see what difference that would make, i used to bend them when i was running a Castle 1410 as well, its just down to chassis flex

thats alot of chassis flex! especially when you have the upgraded braces.
sidenote: finally got to run my 1410 combo and its nuts how much power it has! i just to have to double, single ,single at my local track, now i can nail the double double (even overshoot it if im not careful) everytime.

this should help with the chassis flex

Of course the chassis flex is a factor, but also the shock and the stress caused when you land can be catastrophic.Try it,it really helps.

Holy COW!
I wonder if this is what i have wrong with mine. I am using the stock plastic yet. I noticed the upper arm holder brace in the front has a significant gap between the bottom of it and the steering post. Because it is plastic it moves, but i wanted to upgrade to the alum upper plate. I can see that being an issue and or causing the front diff housing to crack if i force it down. Right now i added 5x8 fiber washers and then 3x8 metal washers.
Your going to have a lot of drag in some surfaces with that hanging that low. Is there a way to use a turnbuckle off the front diff housing to the center diff brackets?
What kind of noise? The style of gears in this truck are known to be louder than other trucks.

It seems that the noise comes from the crown too ... I think it's normal.
Being mod1 think it makes more noise than the models with 48 pitch that i run.
