That was happening to me allot to when I first started to run the buggy, one thing that helped me was the punch control. I set that up so I wasn't getting all the power at once.

I would double check to make sure the steering servo arm and servo saver are set up correctly as well as the end point adjustment on the radio and maybe even check to see that the steering turnbuckles are the same length.

If that all checks out, I would compare my tires to the faster guys tires and the review the overall set up.

I was able to resolve a similar issue by moving the hinge pins on the rear hubs to the upper holes and went back to the old 'larger' steering rack. After doing that, my car was much more predictable.

It also goes the polar opposite meaning it turns but it's a super wide turn, not very sharp and precise. Any thoughts or help on this matter?
David Jorr helped me out by suggesting silver rear spring and 25wt oil in the rear. Also bearings can cause some headache.. i had a new one once that didn't last 2 runs and any hard brakeing or acc. it was un predictable

Amen!

I just purchased myself a used SC10 2wd w/ a 8.5T TEKIN * RS Pro system. I'll be running a 4PL Tx and 2s Venom.

I'm a bit nervous over that belt drive... so I'm holding off for now.

So I'll have my Be and SC10 out there as well

Default New Upgrades

So, I've been out of the forum for a bit guys (racing, busy with work, home, etc...)

Any "must have" upgrades that have come out recently for the RC8be?

Other than the new shock towers and chassis...although I hardly believe it's must have. The buggy rips right out of the box.

Tekin motor ? I have a T8 2000kv that I got for my scte but sold the scte and bought a new RC8Be I also have a T8 1900kv motor I got for it. My ? Is can I run the Truggy motor 2000kv ? Will it have more top end or torque than the 1900kv buggy motor ? Also what pinion to run with the 2000 motor. I was told 18-21 for the 1900.

Alert Alert... SC newbie at TBG... LOL

I finally got to run my RC8 and I am saying I am definately a 1/10 scale convert... loving the speed and handling... I am not sure WHY but the guy I got mine from was running a 15/46 on the 1900kv Tekin... WOW was I under powered when I first tried it... I stepped up to the 17t pinion and still may go a little further... out track isnt huge... but with getting used to throttle input control I think I can swing the 19t and stay in...

Nice! I also came from 1/10 SC and love everything about 1/8. Im running the same motor as you geared 18/46 and it's pretty good. Id like to try a 19, or 20 but I do alot of practice days, and if I run a full 4500mah battery to cut off I come off the track right around 140-145, and switching pinions out isnt a very quick task with the crappy stock motor mount.

Good luck with it, and there's tons of great info here

Well, as some of you know, I've been going back and forth on what to do with getting these new parts coming out, and possibly trading the rc8 in for something different, but im here to tell you that Im here to stay!

A couple of my friends run 8ights and I finally got to try one yesterday and I really like my rc8 more. I think I'm going to try and snag the new arms and towers and go from there. Im in love with this car even more now after driving the Losi.
