that motor mount looks good, but it also looks like it raises the c.o.g. quite a bit.
From the pic it is hard to tell, but I suspect that they left the center diff riser in place. Most find enough clearance without the riser, thereby lowering the CoG by lowering the diff and motor / mount all together.

When going to the Grid mount, whats the difference/benefits of either the one with the inner pinion support and the outer?

Thanks,

Is anyone runinng a 2000kv truggy motor in there RC8Be ? seems like it would have more torque than the 1900kv motor?

Thanks,
You have more selection of larger pinions with the inner support. The outer one restricts the maximum pinion. Most get the inner one for the RC8be.

edit: Outer support pinion sizes 13-17, inner pinion can choose from 13-22. Most use the 19 and up.

There is the option to get both as they can be purchased separately.

Yeah, I didn't use the diff riser with my mount. There was no need for it. I found the pinion was to high up against the spur anyway.

Here's how I tune my sway bars... Sway bars have the biggest effect on the opposite end of the car.

Putting a light bar on the rear and a stiffer one on the front is hurting your turning ability.

I myself run the gold bar (thickest) in the rear and no sway bar on the front on tight indoor tracks.

Raise the roll center in the rear (drop the inner camber link) and that should help the car rotate a bit better also.

Try 5/5/3 or 5/7/3 on your diffs (you could keep the 2 in the rear also if you wanted).. Running heavy fluids in the front will not help the car rotate.

What is the center diff riser? Is this something that comes with the Grid Mount? And if you order the inner mount does it come as shown in the pic. last page? i.e. with the Grid top plate? Thanks

It comes with your car, not the grid mount. It sits directly under your diff. Its just a machined piece of metal that increases the height of the center diff

Thickening up your front diff fluid will only hurt your turning ability. I run 5/7/3 and I find this the best setup for my tight indoor track.

Also try moving your front wheels a few degrees toe'd out. This will help gain a few more degrees of turning

I'm sure its been well documented, but the stock motor mount is garbage IMO! I know this is a longshot, but anyone have an elite mount they want to sell???

How are you shocks mounted? If you need more steering, try laying down the shocks more. Bring the shock mount on the shock tower closer to the center of the chassi.

Good luck I have been trying for months to get one. It would appear that elite only makes one of those per month. I have been watching their site for about 6 months and have never seen the rc8 mount in stock. That sux too because it looks like a excellent Upgrade.
