Default Elite Motor Mount, HB pinion set screw too long???

Hi,

I just installed an Elite mount with a Tekin 1900kv and a Hot Bodies 21 tooth pinion. Unfortunately, the set screw on the pinion appears to be too long and when fully tightened won't allow the motor to spin. Has this happened to anyone else? I guess I could try and file/dremel the end of the set screw shorter but this seems odd.

Hot Bodies pinions don't come with set screws so I just bought a pack of them at my LHS, perhaps there are shorter ones from a different manufacturer.

Thanks!

Default Outdrives

The associated store has the light weight front and rear outdrives in stock if anyone is interested. AE part # 89477 and 89478 respectively.

I have measured the weight of a bunch of parts, hope to have them up in the next day or so.

Got mine about 2 weeks ago! anyone have any set up specs. I have the 25w fluid in the shocks and the rears spun up almost all the way, fronts up about half way. seems to bottom out. What should the ride height be?

got my worlds parts installed last night. I got the chassis, towers, and b plate. I did not get the outdrives and steering post. Modified my existing a arm. Due to rain I have not gotten a decent run at the track. In yard over the normal bumps it did appear to be smother. Time will tell.

Previously a post was made asking about the b plate. The difference is it no longer uses the black bushings ( adjustable ) to hold the pins. Its now a fixed position. I did not take the time to measure and see if there is any difference in hole location. As for the +3mm, its all added to the rear of the center diff.

By feel on the bench the buggy now has much more travel.

Hey guys all of my stuff is for sale. I'm getting out of the hobby. I might try my luck with helicopters now. I got bored pretty quick with this buggy.

What are your thoughts on Team Associated E-Conversion?
I have been thinking of converting my sc8 to a 1/10 Scale e-sc truck. And looking for opinions on AE's conversion. Thanks.

AMAZING. I will place my order a week from today... In the meantime, do you guys have recommendations as far as a set-up with these for indoor clay? I'm racing the pro-line surf city classic here in CA at the end of August so I may only get to drive these towers once or twice before the race.. Also, would you guys recommend buying the new worlds suspension arms or do the stock arms work the same with these towers? Do you use the shock adapters on the worlds arms?

They look awesome! Any news or pictures of the new aluminum bulkhead??
Thanks!

The kit includes a suggested standard setup which will work all tracks. You will notice the increased stability and control on rough tracks. Also slippery tracks will also feel less slippery. Since each track is different, drivers should post their setups for each track for the GRID kit.

What you will need to do is experiment with different spring rates and oil/piston combinations for new geometry.

Spring/oil/piston combos used in the worlds kit will also work on this since the geometry is very similar to it. We include more shock mounting positions on the towers for extra tuning.

The alum front bulkheads should be ready soon.
