Who ever said it was your fault ?

Relax , wait until you get your ESC back, run it , then decide....

Many times I have seen racer's with the bad luck get a returned ESC from the manufacture & they again experience a failure.

This happens because they had a bad servo, receiver or just plain-O wiring issues....

So it is all to easy to blame the manufacture , when it was not there fault at all...

See this a lot BTW....

What I'm saying is almost half the time I do see a ESC fail ?
It was owner mistake , not the manufacture ....[/QUOTE]

While I do respect your stance on the issue and don't want to get into a pissing match about esc's on the b4.1/t4.1 forum, the fact of the matter is I do know what I am doing and do understand that it can be luck of the draw with an esc sometimes. But, don't you think if there was another underlying issue it would of shown up on the tekin esc's I have switched to the tekin has Been more tunable, reliable, and cheaper than any of the sxx v2 esc's I haven used. There is not ONE thing a sxx can do that my RS cannot. Just my opinion, I'm sure many have great luck with a lrp speedo, but for me it has put a sour taste in my mouth as well as many others.

Oval , best of luck ...

Seen more than few good drivers that swore by the Tekin and had to switch back to Lrp just because of the superior performance Lrp offers...

no hard feelings but i sent back my first tried it and again it happend, then again so i just think tekin is better for me, i can already get rid of both of them plus the rs is about 150. I like the tuning part also

All I had on hand as far as 3mm hardware and a counter sunk washer was the Lunsford Fat Boy motor screws but plan on using these screws below.

Picture below is my 22 so don't hate...

That looks really sharp. Nice work, thanks for the photo and the link to your preferred hardware. Why do you have a 4.1 and a 22?

B4.1 I ran last winter a little. I got the 22 to play around with for the up and coming winter. My little bro is going to wheel one of them with me when I get back to running later in the fall...

If you need a photo of the wing mount I can get one of them too.

SXX v1: Beast of a speedo that I had ZERO problems with, until I reversed the batt leads. =(

SXX v2: Nothing but a fire hazard and a pain in my side thus far. I have to send it in again to be replaced under warranty. Second time in less than 2 months of weekly/biweekly use.

Looks like Cavalieri got 3rd in ST with the T4.1. THen Cavalieri and Mayfield took 2nd and 3rd in 2wd mod buggy with Evans in the 22 taking the win.

I have a tire question for you...

I normally run flipouts or holeshots on a outdoor, bumpy, clay track that is watered but we are having our states nitro series held at our track this weekend and I have heard in the past that it typically will blue groove but that the surface is almost oily at times because of all the nitro cars.

I want to run my stadium truck and was looking at getting a set of barcodes but I am not sure which compound to try in that scenario... Anyone run on something like this?

If it's outside then I've had good luck with Blue Barcodes. I been running the same set 1-2 times a week since Motorama and they show very little wear.

Does anyone put air holes in their buggy bodies to keep the electronics cool , or is that just a short course thing ??

I could easily put a few holes in the windshield of my stock body . I have a back up ESC and motor in right now . Novak Havoc Pro and 8.5 turn ballisitic geared 25/75 . The ESC was on the warm side after 10 minutes . It was 135 . Could easily put a smaller pinion on .

It is stupid fast the way it is . Probably to fast for serious racing . Just dicking around till I get my LRP sxx stockspec v2 back from repair . That speedo would be 110 degrees after 20 minutes . Cool ! Ofcourse I was running a 13.5 turn . Temps would be higher I am sure with 8.5 turn I have in their now .

I was also considering a fan on my ESC . Or is that also not a buggy thing ? It would be pretty cramped under the body with the fan on the ESC . Not even sure if it would .

i have a havoc sc pro in mine, i had to take the fan off for the body to fit. it runs 140-150 after about 8 mins on a 13.5 (75/30 gearing, 30 deg boost). motor comes off at 150ish.

no circulation in there.... i have the 10.5 in there now with 81/24 gearing, gonna leave 30 deg boost. i havent run it yet in this config so i dont know how the temps are gonna be.

Default Carbon u-brace

In Cavalieri's Worlds set up he says he used the Carbon u-brace. Is he reffering to the 9564 hinge brace? I could not figure out what else it would be. What would be the advantage to carbon for this part?
