It has less flex than the composite and on that track he might have wanted his car to be stiffer.

I understand the carbon is stiffer than the composite however I just don't see that part being a part that would have much of an effect on handling between the two materials

Hey guys, the stock tires wore down way too quickly for my liking so I'm looking for some new tires. What I want is something that can handle a little bitumen every now and then but mainly dirt/off-road. Just mainly looking for something that'll last the longest but also offer a reasonable amount of traction off-road (not too fussed about on-road as long as they don't wear down too quickly).

Am I asking too much? Any suggestions?

just threw on my old 0 degree plastic hubs to try out less to in, i made the camber link in the outside hole of the hub and added a washer under the inside ballstuds. my b4.1 rtr handled really well without the ball diff shocks and fancy stuff so I will see how they work together.

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...k-Tire-White-2 - if your doing mostly dirt, this isnt a bad tire for occasional road use because the rubber is harder, but all pin tires will wear quicker on harder stuff.

This is what he is referring to. He might have felt that the extended chassis was too noodly, and this would help stiffen it up.

Tried the Kyosho springs this weekend for the first time using the Dark Yellow in front and Light Yellow in the back. Buggy felt dead and unresponsive, maybe the Orange fronts and Dark Yellow rears might work better, but their on backorder. I switched back to the Durango springs in Light Red front and back and the car came alive.

This actually has a fairly large effect on the handling. Stiffening the u-brace actually can reduce traction quite a bit and make the car much more responsive. This believe it or not is something we play with quite a bit.

Same with the front top plate.

what are you guys doing to sand the u-brace flat? I tried with a dremel but I doubt both sides are exact or straight... would a file or something like that work better?

I started with a dremel to take off the majority and finished with a small file to get it even.

same thing here, use a dremel and a file to level it out. I then take a dial caliper to make sure both sides are equal...

Why is the u-brace being sanded? To add flex or lower the rear shock tower?

To lower the inner camber link when using the optional c hub tower on the rear hubs.

This was the first weekend with the "limo" chassis. After a few minor setup changes the car was really good. Those changes were aimed at getting some steering back in the car mainly mid and exit of the corner. I have to admit that it's one of the best changes I've made to the car yet.
