Nobody is "hating AE" because their shocks are so horrible.. .we hate AE shocks because the AE shocks are so horrible.. and YES it's a big deal, inconsistencies in a spring's spring rate (what happens when the spring binds) leads to an inconsistent car. The springs shouldn't bind on the shock body AT ALL... period.

My motor screws always walked around, and with loctite I stripped a few and its frustrating.. I switched to the lunsford fat boy motor bolt kit {it was like $7} and never have any issues now, with no loctite... I know it sucks to pay $7 for 2 screws, but they come with concave washers and there all ti, with big @ss heads on them so you can tighten them pretty good...

thats all opinionated..ive driven the rb5 and didnt like it as much as the b4..with that said yes i have switched to kyosho springs because of the rub and progressive rate...everyone has opinions..i stand behind mine when i say that associate still stands on top with electric rc...but i am really hoping they come out with something to match the 22 that would be fun

I don't hate ae shock, I just don't like the springs. Personally the shocks are easy to build and perform fine, its just not acceptable to have the springs rubbing the crap out of the shock bodies.

Default Ti Nitride Ball Stud Set

Has anyone taken the time to put together a list (part number and quantity) required replacing all of the stock ball studs with Ti Nitride ones? If so, I’d like to see the lists for B4, B44 and SC10 if you got them. thanks

If I hated AE then I wouldn't still be racing an original RC10 after 25 years! The car is timeless. It's going to get some Schumacher big bores adapted to it soon though.

Current set up. Tekin RS Pro w/ 13.5 Redline motor on boost. Airtronics Servo, Airtronics M11 Dnss, and all that good stuff. Love this car. And as you can see, I loved it so much I had to buy a RTR B4.1 as a back up car LOL

I'm running Yokomo Bmax shocks on my B4, set and forget..silky smooth all the time. I can still use the AE springs with them however they do rub the crap out of the shocks.
I am now looking at getting the Yokomo big bores and springs

How about the Losi 22 shocks? I hear the fit the 4.1 fine. Been thinking of getting a set.
