Being that the BK Bar/Taper Pin was the first tire combo like that, the one everyone copied, I would say yes people have run this combo before. I just have to ask, how do you not know this?
Here is an idea. Put the pack in the middle, drive the car some, move it around, see how it changes the way it feels. Believe it or not you can make a setup decision without asking.

Just after feedback from anyone who has tried them. Thanks
Haven't run the bk bars, but the taper pins are really good on smooth packed surface. The only down side is that they tend to wear out the edges, but that's proportional to the fact that they steer like crazy. Pink or red, depends on the track surface.
What would you say is better compound for indoor low-medium grip track. Best tire is normally super softs on the track. Is the Pink or Red closer to super soft? (On amain the red is described as soft/sticky so I'm assuming red would be?)

Thank you so much for your contribution.
Cool! Thanks for the feedback. Anyone tried the BK bars? I'm assuming they would be an awesome combo if the taper pins are good and the BK bars can match them.

I am wanting to buy a selection of spurs and pinions to try. Just dont know what the best sizes are to buy. What would be the best four or five pinions to buy and a couple of spurs.
I run a tekin 13.5 and have stayed at the factory gearing so far but want to start playing with gearing. My motor is coming off super cool.
Thanks in advance for the info.

I have never once seen losi red work at an indoor track. Pink compound is absolutely the best indoor compound, atleast here in the Midwest. A pink bk bar will work at any track and it's usually the fastest as well. I always try and get JC tires to work but at almost all the tracks I can get to, losi pink is just dialed.
Anyone else had any experiences with them?

24-30 evens & 75, 78, 81. I ran 30/75 with boost coming off @ 160* motor & 140* ESC. That's about as hot as you really want to get it. That selection should give you a good range to play with. Once you zero in on the pinion size you want get the odd one in between.

All the manufactures make a clay compound as well as other rubber compounds. Each companies rubber compound, and tread design is going to work a bit different. Sometimes they all work as well as eachother, sometimes one is a clear cut advantage. Really the only way to know is to try them. Nobody here runs where you run, so nobody can say for sure.
I guess Australia is pretty far from the pulse of the r/c industry.
I use the stock U brace so I can't say what that mod will do.
I just changed over to the B44 plastic hubs (#9730) and saw a big change in how my car handled in and out of the corners. I run at a track similar to the one you described in your other post. I also run a 17.5 with Barcodes.
My buggy was pretty hooked up the other day after making that change. I plan on swapping to 30 degree caster blocks next to see how that changes the steering.
I use the Brent Thielke Club Racing Indoor Clay set-up sheet with very few changes.

my first run on the gc track i tried red bks and they were really bad , struggled to clear the double on the old layout through lack of grip . this was early on when the first opened , the grip may have come up a little since then .....maybe
Got three heats under my belt with the b4 tonight. Not bad i must say. this car is way better than the 22 i bought and sold right away. I love how predictable this car is. I could push it extremely hard into the sweeper and coming on the the straight. It is a tad tight in the infield and i'd like to fix that up a bit but i'm also thinking the new tires might have some to do with that as well. Over all the first heat of qual. i placed 6th getting a feel for the car second heat made my way to 2nd which was enough to make the a-main. I haven't made the a-main in my truck in a long time and first time out i get the main. I let everyone go by me in the main after i made a few mistakes. Just made my own laps getting more seat time basically letting the leaders pass me a few times. Over all i love this car and it drives better than i ever thought it would.
i have tried pink bk's on the rear of my 4.1we at gcrc , first impression was they had more grip than the gold barcodes down there , unfortunately i havent put in the time to really say for sure .
