So after my friend went through my car it feels a ton better, he basically rebuilt everything because this was my first kit so I kinda messed up so he fixed me all up.. Added the VTS slipper and I would say it was a big improvement.

Umm so I was wondering, I am racing 17.5 and I am currently running a Racers Edge 60C 6000MAH which is a really heavy battery.. (i think it's one of the heaviest battery's you can own. So I think if I am to replace my battery with a lighter one I will be a little better off.

I am not rich, so I was wondering is there any good batterys' that are good battery's' for a decent price new or used?

(I dont want a shorty I tried it and it's OK but doesn't have enough punch to last the whole race {I own Rvtech 4200 MAh 60C})

Go check out the packs at valuehobby.com they use the same packs for a few of the higher end ones that SMC uses. The 6000 70C for sure is the same. Most range from $30-40

What is the difference from Lunsford "Punisher Plus" and "Super Duty"? It seems like just the ball cups are different right? Is it preferred to get the turnbuckles and ballcups set or get the Lunsford turnbuckles and get RPM ball cups?

I currently have the AE blue titanium turnbuckles and it just seems like the Lunsford are much stronger and covered for life if damaged. Any objections? I have also heard about JConcepts coming out with new turnbuckles, should I wait out and get those instead?

I also notice in my current set of AE turnbuckles and RPM ball cups that the turnbuckle is crooked INSIDE of the ball cup. Idk if the ballcup is just weak and bendy or if I should get the longer shank RPM cup.

Suggestions?

A few things you can do to squeeze a few more RPM's out of your 17.5 is first go back to the V2 slipper. The VTS is great for mod but kind of bulky for stock 17.5. Also replace your top shaft with this MIP http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ated-Top-Shaft
I also run Avid revolution bearings in my transmision (rubber side out on the out drives)and ceramic bearings in my motor.

The JConcepts ones are mostly for bling and are only slightly bigger than the Associated ones. If you want sturdier and stronger I would definitely get the Lunsford ones, and the lifetime warranty is a great plus.

Edit: also if you did want the JConcepts ones they have already been released, since Reedy

the lunsford are a tighter fit in the back with big bores. if you run the chub, you can just mount the hub on the back and clearance is fine.
