I like the idea of swapping left and right, might try that tonight.

I wanted to have everything custom anodized, prolly would have been cheaper!!! But I actually bought everything from at least 10 different places around the world. For example the new big bore spring collars are tresrey, designed for a Durango 410. A lot of custom fitting. The things I could not find red I stripped the blue off of with "greased lightning" cleaner and polished for a chrome look. The wing mmounts were very easy, just grind the body clip bump off flush, drill a small hole then thread a 4-40 screw in. On the underside of wing mount I CA glued a plastic nut to add more meat for the screw to thread into. There is a close up picture of it prolly about 100 pages back in this thread.

What bearings would be good to replace and there is only 2 of them? I need to spend $2 more to get the free shipping on Avids site.

I race her every week. Although it looks completely modified, my number one priority was to not change any geometry or handling of it.

Yes they are, and now would be a good time to thanks TSR Products for top notch customer service. They sent me a plastic version of the spring adjuster no charge to see if it would fit before I spent the money on aluminum. Check them out!

I was thinking of using the TD black metal ones instead of the blue AE's

Those should work also, FYI, the shock cartridge caps do not fit.

Yes is what I was asking about, and so I will try it and hope that it doesn't pop many turnbuckles

I posted yesterday that I was losing power about 5 laps in. This morning i was thinking about it and it occurred to me it could be the slipper heating up. My pad were pretty glazed, I tried to sand them, but the glazed up right away again. If the slipper heats up with glazed pads, would it make the buggy feel like power disappeared?

It could be slipping excessively, you would be able to feel/hear it though.

I kept tightening it down. I have about 4-5mm of thread showing right now. I heard a sound from the car, didnt really sound like a slipper squeel. I thought maybe the tires were slipping as they were running the track pretty damp (CH). Either way my pads are pretty shiny. The triads are out of stock and there is no eta. They said they are out of the pads to make the kits. I might pick up new pads and try the vts again. same crappy pad, but more surface area. We thinking garodiscs, but I am reading that people are tightening them all the way down and backing off 1 turn. Sounds like those pads are pretty slick and I am unsure of how tunable they are.

This is a pic of the c hub on the opposite side. This seems to be the best way to mount the turnbuckles. I tried switching the r/l 0* hubs but did not like them.
