Yeah I tried swapping the r/l 0* hubs. They put the turnbuckles in a funky angle.

ok, I like the look of your install. plenty of spring clearance and yeah, no goofy angles. I also use the lundsfords and I could use a little more space.

Does this still clear the wheel?

Yeah my lunsford turnbuckles are the super duty ones. All my lhs had to sell.

yeah, I clean my car too, but I was also looking at the lack of scuffing from crashes.

Looks like some new towers for the new shocks. Not going to be too scuffed up just yet.

The way it was explained to me (because I forgot LOL) was C tower / shaved ubrace = free the car up for higher bite. A tower / std ubrace = lock the car in more. This weekend at RCE I ran A / Std and it felt 'ok'..... I remember all last winter I ALWAYS ran C/shaved no matter what track. Once I get back in the swing of things, I'll do some back to back testing and give my feedback (which I know everyone is just DYING to hear haha).

anyway, here's what I ran at RCE for the JConcepts Race. I sucked, but the car was awesome after the tires finally were broken in right. My fastest run was 16 5:14. TQ was 17 5:01 I think. Cut for A was 16 5:01 (or something close to that)
This was the first race that I actually saw how important the break in process was..... literally a second per lap difference in speeds.
I didn't have BB yet so I ran V2 shocks
Losi Orange, 30wt 2 piston 2 limiters in the Front.
Losi Yellow, 27.5wt 2 piston 2 limiters Rear
A hub/Std ubrace
everything else was 'standard' setup.
Blue Barcodes Front and Rear JConcepts CC inserts
Tires were very worn in and used Buggy Grip
D3.5 17.5 geared 33/75 (blinky). I purposely under geared my car because after getting reshuffled down into a lower qualifier, the difference in closing speed was just too much. It was too hard to keep my momentum and smoothness while constantly having to slam on the brakes to avoid plowing someone. I found dropping 2 teeth to the 33 was a happy medium. If I had better luck with my qualifier and reshuffled to a faster group, I would have had to adjust.

Anyway, there's your feedback from a career baddie

I started with the A hubs/stock brace, and swapped them out for the C hub/shaved carbon brace on day 1. I was over rotating with my standard setup, so I went to C hubs (inside on the brace and middle on the hub), and lengenthed my front camber links. Once the tires came around, the car felt pretty good. I qualified terribly, but I think I managed an 18 5:13 or something like that during one run (might even have been the main lol).

edit: I was running mod, Losi 30F/27.5R, Red/White springs, and a shorty pack 5mm from full forward. The rest of the setup was "standard" as well.

Oh yeah, that was my first time running shorty pack too..... I wanted red / white springs but they didn't have them in the shop so I had to settle for yellow / orange. It's funny...you seem to have run your battery much further forward than I did.

I started dead center... then ended up moving it back so that the beginning of the pack was just lined up even with the Ubrace. I needed more forward bite and that helped. Ultimately all of my handling issues all weekend (prior to 2nd round on Sat) were because the tires weren't broken in.

I ran mod as well, but just ran my 17.5 and used it to test stuff and scrub in tires. I did try my 8.5 in one of the practice runs and the car was pretty awesome but my lap times were pretty much the same as my 17.5 lap times (still way too rusty). Figured since I wouldn't be a threat to finish top half in mod, I would just use it for the extra track time and in the end it helped me.

I was fish tailing around the track with the Chubs and shaved brace on my outdoor 8th scale low bite track. Keep in mind we don't all run on perfectly groomed, indoor hard clay/high bite tracks.

I totally understand about the rough track..... Out here that's what you find most of the time.

Also why I stated that the A should lock your car in more than the C.

lol, rough was the track I went to saturday and subsequently left after a few practice laps. Looked like someone took a pick axe to the track. Broke my car 2x in 5 laps and left. I will not return. I know it is offroad, but as some point the track is too trashed to even be fun.
