Thank you for the input, much appreciated!

As for the axles, are they a known weak point?

So the .5mm shimm you referrenced, what is the performance gain?

UOTE=Nexus;11485183]Nice SP for the kid...best pop award!

Id probably keep the ball diff and grab some axles like I was just posting abov

----

Anyone know if this is a typo? Tebos' CRCRC 2012 setup says 5mm shim under the rear suspension mount??[/QUOTE]

I searched and couldn't find the info I was looking for...

Seems I have 3 sets of #65 front springs and no #70s or higher. Can someone definitively tell me the spring rates in lbs? I have a full set of Kyosho rear buggy springs I can use for the front of the SCR, but I can't find out what is equal to a #70, #65, etc SCR spring in lbs.

No definitive answer here but I was always under the impression that if the part number was 5183-65 it was a #65 spring. So using the attached chart you might be able to figure out where the springs are or you could use a finger test to see if you can tell the difference between the two. The chart might be a good place to start.

Thanks Kraig...coming to the IL State race by chance?

Ended up finding a #70 front. I need a damn magnifying glass for how Kyosho marks these springs!

I wanted to but I can't find a baby sitter for the kids as the wife will be out of town. I could only find a baby sitter for myself. Seriously though, good luck!

Default MIP Kyosho Super diff Available NOW!!!!!!

Hey Guys

The MIP Super diff is now available for the RB6/RB5, RT5, and SC 1/10 2wd vehicles. This new Super diff comes with MIP's Machined outdrives, Diff Rings, Diff Balls, Thrust washers, Thrust balls, Diff Gear, Diff Bearings and MIP clear and orange grease. The only thing needed from your original Kyosho diff is the diff screw, T-nut, and Diff spring.

I bought an RT5 on ebay and the previous owner claimed that he had installed a Blitz diff gear in it. I opened it up to confirm and sure enough, it was not a Kyosho part. Looked like an MIP Blitz diff gear. The outdrives and rings were still Kyosho units however. Just FYI.

I don't understand why you would want the MIP diff? It's $40 and you still need a diff screw($6.39) a diff spring($3.69) and t-nut($4.59[you have to buy it with the diff gear]) so you end up with $54.67

Where as you can get the an entire Kyosho diff with the proper greases for $47

Is there an issue with re-using your old parts from your old Kyosho Ball Diff? Thats our thinking behind it. More quality outdrives that will last longer for less money.

ive run mod motor for awhile and have blown through quite a few out drives.. i'm defintly gonna try and run a set of these. ran a few of their other products and can honestly say they havent dissapointed. I ran their mip scte full kit for one weekend at a endurance race 400 laps. first time out with the truck as it was a loaner. i made a few tweaks and the truck was a easy 1 second faster a lap and really easy to drive..needless to say we won that event by over 15 laps and it was super easy to drive.
