I used the 1/8 x 1.250 hinge pins with my 1 degree hubs. You will need to drill out the hubs and arms to get them to fit properly.

What hub did you use???
HUB pn 9807 1deg , pn 9808 2deg and the pins are LOSA2164 1/8 x1.250 as stated above is the correct hinge pin.

I did not use Losi's spacer pack on my two trucks and have no problems at all with the bearing spacing...

I used the 9807, with the 6088 nitride pin, and also the spacer pack..the spacers are actually taller thank the t4 ones.

I have had no problems with mine the only thing i did was add another rubber o-ring into the inner drive cup as i noticed the drive shaft had alot of play when i was taking it apart with the stock hubs, the pin was close to the edge of the outer cup at full suspension droop.

from those of you have tried it, what seems to be working best so far... the GT2 rear end conversion with arms and 1.5 hubs... or the losi 1/1.5/2 hubs and modded hinge pin..
is that all thats needed for these conversions? any other parts like bearings etc.
i also saw someone running b44 rear hubs...were these bolt in with the stock sc10 arms? i think the bearings were different though???

what toe angle has proven to be the best so far... i was thinking of starting with 1.5 and going from there...


ps i finally got my SC10 in australia yesterday, i got the procomp RTR and its awesome...stock electrics are quick too, beats slashes with 13.5's easy, not bad for a 17t, granted sc10s light weight though

1/8th tires
 

I race at the same track as Macracing does and run an sc10 in the prolites class. Our track is geared more towards the 1/8th scale buggies. Big triples, table tops, step ups, and a huge double on to the front straight. We have been constantly tweaking our setups to get these things to handle better on our track. Just when we think we have it right, and it will walk away from the slashes, the top slashes show up with 1/8th scale buggy tires and the fight is on.

Granted a slash running goosebumps can not keep up with am SC10 running goosebumps given equal talent in the drivers. But if you put a slash on 1/8th scale tires, the SC10 will struggle to keep up. Driving talent being equal, all the mods listed in this forum, GT2 arms, Losi hubs, shocks, and such will only allow you to keep up with a slash on buggy tires and just barely. MacRacing and I like the scale look of the SC10, & SC8, but when it comes to racing we have to play the game of keeping up with the crowd. It is racing after all.

Hopefully in the future the rules will be more standard in the class and perhaps put some limitations on what gear you can run in a the mod trucks. I am not against keeping the cool scale look, but I am being pushed to run what the big dogs do to keep them in sight and out of their dust.

sti821 from youre post above it sounds to me like you would like to maybey see youre track put a limit on the sc10 class? its plain and simple you guys are having to play the tire of the day game at youre track. unless im misunderstanding youre post mabey you guys should talk to youre race director and put a tire limit for the class at my track open corr class is what ever esc/motor you whant and can tune youre suspension anyway you need but the tires must be a corr type tire wether its a sc10 or slash/proline tire they havent decided on letting us run goosebumps yet. sounds to me like you guys need to be running the sc8 at youre track hey if its an open corr truck class then the sc8 is in RIGHT? LOL.

+1 That is the rule at our track with the short course class. You must run a tire that is specifically designed for the CORR trucks.(stock, pro-line, jconcepts) Tires are a great equalizer:nod:

I ran the b44 rear hubs for awhile. They had around 0.5 degree toe-in. So I moved to the 1 degree. Next Ill try the 2 degree Losi hubs to see what that does.

Anyone try the 2 degree Losi hubs yet. Just wanted a bit of input on them.:confused:

I have 2deg hubs on mine. Great improved straight line traction on hardpack dusty cond, Truck still slides predictable and comes out of the corners hard, it can still come around on you but way way better than stock.
There is a pic a few pages back by now with the 2deg hubs installed but if you dont feel like looking for it lmk and i will repost.

Thx for some info. Was looking to get a second opinion on them. Id thought they might be to much for our trucks.;) Ya I already have the Losi 1 degrees on now. So it shouldn't be an issue to install the 2 degree hubs.

for 6 bucks and a few minutes to change them give em a try, I like them and to me the improved straight line traction with the stock tires really helps. I am going to water down my track later on this evening and really see how it handles on moist ground.

W/ the increased CG of the Slash over the SC10 and everything else being equal (tires, motors, driver, ect...) I can't understand how the Slash would outperform the SC10 in your mod class?

Maybe it's the added weight of the Slash?

I think that's it exactly. The SC10 has been just too light to get any decent traction. Plus over any of the larger jumps the SC10 is a sitting duck if a decent gust of wind comes by. When I threw the buggy tires on my SC10 it just felt way more stable like my slash mainly due to the increased rolling weight of the hub adapters, wheels, and tires. I have no doubt that it will be a better race b/w the two next go round. I led the first 15-16 laps of our last race with my slash until I stripped out the spur(rock got caught in the pinion:flaming:), so next race I'll be ready to run the SC10 and we'll see how she does.
