So, I have been running my FT SC10 for the last week or so with the stock rims on it, and they seem to be working great. However, I would like to get another set of tires (JConcept Barcodes), and have them on another set of rims so that I can switch out between them and my Sucultures. AE hex kit uses the same bearings for the front.

I would get AE front axle, AE steering block, and J-Concepts front & rear hexes to do the conversion.

I tried it again and not only does the JConcept hex leave very little room for a wheel nut but there is no way to hold the axle pin in. confirmed:

uses 3/16 x 3/8 bearing.

same size as FT uses.

Do people feel you need aluminium hexes up front or just the rear ?

Alum. Hex up front normally have a locking screw in them to help hold the hex on the axle. I use the AE plastic ones and I have a small hole drilled in them and a set screw to hold them on the axle. Not had a problem at all with them. I run the alum Jconcepts rear. I found the stock AE plastics ones will wear out fast and cause slop between the axle nut and the rim.
