Looks better than the stock plastic one, I know it will bolt to the diff cup, they are the same, but is the pitch of the gear the same between nitro and electric?

I used the metal one for a while, switched to plastic and havent had any problems at all. Ive had the same plastic one for the past 6 months. Plastic is lighter, quieter and seems to be smoother also.

Cool, Thanks. I will just buy a extra plastic one just in case

Can I confirm that the RC8T runs on 43/10 Front/Rear Differential Gear Ratio?

Im looking at buying pinions for my RC8TE. Would the mod1 15 and 16 tooth pinions be sufficient?

The track that I run at is built for nitro 1/8 buggies and truggies with even 1/5 scale running on it.

Most likely but what motor, esc, and batteries are you running?

Hey Rob, I talked to Sherry at Lunsford yesterday, she said they were working on a set for the RC8TE and the guy would be back in the office next week and to call back then. I have the AE blue rear hubs and steering knuckles too with Xtreme Racing's CF shock towers and center diff brace, but can't find a CF upper plate, does anybody make them?
OH, and I got a Tekin RX8/t2000 coming, how long is the sensor wire? Will I need a longer on? if so which one, the 100 or 200mm ?
Thanks guys:tire::tire:

Well when you call back and talk to the guy just tell him you need the RC8T tunrbuckles and that you need the 90mm steering turnbuckles that will be the ticket and you wont have to monkey around like I did and mail the steering one back and wait to have them mail you thr right ones..

They are the same CF shock towers I have on my RC8Te and diff top plate.Just make a note that you may need to do some grinding on the diff top plate for some reason the spur rubs on it . I just did a little grinding on the slot where the spur goes alittle at a time and it look box stock finish.As far as Upper top plate Iam not sure what you mean. Do you mean the plate where the servo mounts or where the front brace and steering post mount. If you are talking about eathere one of them I dont think anyone offers them for the RC8Te. But I could be wrong I just havent see any out yet..

The sensor wire that comes in the Tekin combo is way over kill long I went to A-Main Hobbies and ordered the Tekin 100mm sensor wire and it is spot on with the lengh and makes for a much cleaner install of the wires..

I would get the Associated pinions I went and bought the 13,14,15 and the kit comes with a 16 so between the 4 pinione you can gear for pretty much and size track or motor heating problem you may or may not run into.. But thats just my 2 cents..

Ya not to sure but I dont think they make a top plate in CF.. And the sensor wire will wrok great as long as you have the RC8Te kit and not a converted RC8T with and aftermarket conversion kit. I guess I should of asked that first..lol But as long as its the RC8Te kit then yes the 100mm sensor wire from tekin will work great..

It is, it is......a real RC8T "E":nod::nod:

OfnaJoe 04-01-2010 06:17 PM

Dang, just got the email back from Lundsford, $73 for turnbuckles:eek:
I found a set of RC8T's on ebay for $44, think I will get them and just buy the 90mm steering turnbuckles separate.

Custom Painted Body

Anyone know of a good place/person to get a custom painted body done by? Would like 3 race bodies painted. Not looking for lazer cut full body stickers though....

Thanks for the help.
