Anyone have a good starting setup for an outdoor track that uses Proline Calibers and Bowties as their tires of choice? Just need something to get started from and AE's website doesnt have any setups posted.

The set up that the truck has after building is a great starting point . With my RC8Te the only thing I did was change the rear diff fluid to 5000wt on the rear hubs I used the most inner hole for the rear upper control arm and set 0 deg camber other then that the truck is stock set up.. Hope that helps..

The RC8Te has the steering upgrade done from the factory so the steering turnbuckles are alittle longer. If you are ordering them order direct from Lunford and tell them what kit you have and they will send you the right turnbuckels. If memory serves me correct the steering turnbuckles are 90mm long.. If you look at the RC8Te manual and see page #9 you will see the steering mod. The mod has you bolt the steering links direct to the steering post the mod helps take out steering bump. You will need to get longer steering turnbuckles the new one's need to be 90mm long. As far as mud guards havent realy seen a company out with them I myself made a set from some 0.60 lexan. That is deff better then plastic but if money is not to tight I would go with the Factory Team Blue Alum Steering knuckels much better quality and the one you posted will work good but I myself dont trust any kind of cast alum they are not all that well made and have know to crack and the screw hole tend to strip out over time. But thats just my 2 cents..

Rob, so the Alu does improve steering? Which would be a better choice in your opinion among the 3?

I myself have the Factory Blue Alum Knuckels. I think they work great and look good also and there is no flex with the alum like there is with the plastic. So I would say Alum is deff the way to go..

Howdy folks,

Based on the price difference between the RC8Te and the RC8T FT, it seems like a better deal to get the FT and a conversion kit. That way you get all the FT goodies, especially the alloy shocks, for far less than if you just bought an RC8Te and bought all the FT addons separately.

So which conversion kit would be best? RCPD? Tekno? Associated? Other?

Hey Rob, I talked to Sherry at Lunsford yesterday, she said they were working on a set for the RC8TE and the guy would be back in the office next week and to call back then. I have the AE blue rear hubs and steering knuckles too with Xtreme Racing's CF shock towers and center diff brace, but can't find a CF upper plate, does anybody make them?
OH, and I got a Tekin RX8/t2000 coming, how long is the sensor wire? Will I need a longer on? if so which one, the 100 or 200mm ?
