Prettyboy....your truggy is sick! Where'd you get the alum steering knuckles? I already had to change them once and you could really tell the difference in steering when the knuckles are fresh. So I wanted to get aluminum ones. Good upgrade! How long are your run times with the 6500 mah battery?

I got the Alum Steering Knuckels from A-Main Hobbies. Thanks for the comment. Not sure of the run times yet with the Max-Amp batt havent got out to the track yet. When I do hit the track I'll let ya know.

How many of your Truggy are really loud? I am running 50T Plastic spur and 16t pinion metal and its pretty loud.

1BLADE1 03-10-2010 12:26 AM

i know this might sound silly? but check the "Pinion"
i am sure maybe you have done this but just in case?
some of the "Pinions" dont "Mesh" up, i know sounds weird? but i think there may be a slight differacne from the "Mod 1" pinions to others that are "32 Pitch" but never hurts to check :D
maybe someone can confirm this too???

Thank you yes I did that the first 10 seconds I got on the gas... The mesh it prefect. I ran it hard for about 10 minutes and the gear look prefect. The noise its making you would think they would be ate up...LOL.. I just a complete rebuild before going to electric so I am guess it just being electric...

Factory Team front and rear Alum shocks
Factory Team Alum steering knuckels
Tekin RX8 esc and 2250kv motor
Max Amps 6500mal 4c batt
Hitec titanium gear 430 oz servo
Xray alum servo horn
Proline bulldog body
JConcepts ruelex rim (dyed myself)
Dace front and rear skip plates
Tekin 100mm sensor wire to make a clean looking install of the wires

Your setup is pretty sick! Got an RC8Te as well with the following setup:

Tekin 1900kV Motor/ESC combo
JConcepts Ruelex rims (yellow)
JConcepts Double Dees tires
JConcepts Hi-Flow Illuzion body
JConcepts Illuzion Truggy Wing
MaxAmp 5600maH 4S Lipo

Hey guys, got a RC8Te coming to me and was just wondering what the kit tires are? I seen on the website the wheels are LPR's but said nothing about tires:confused:
Thanks Joe

The kit doesn't come with tires. I would buy them now so that you have them when your kit comes in. This was a bummer for me to find out after the fact. Good luck with your build. Also, if you plan to run it on a track with bug jumps, get the factory team big bore shocks now. The plastic composites that come with the kit will not last. Other than than, I've really put this thing thru the ringer and it's just awesome.

OfnaJoe 03-28-2010 03:31 PM

That's sort of what I thought about the tires, and I'm going to do the CE updates as I go,
Thanks

congrats on the 8Te. i used the CE upgrades and it sure builds out as one purrrty truggy. one thing you might want to consider right from the start is the eliterc motor mount. i put one in my wife's 8e and one in my 8Te and they're soooo much nicer than the stock mounts.

OfnaJoe 03-28-2010 10:07 PM

Thanks, I will start looking for the mount
