My RC8T CE kit is coming on Mon so I'll need some advice frm you guys.
If I'm not wrong, the kit will have composite chassis braces. Should I order Aluminum ones? The problem is: It seems like there 2 types. Front: Associated #89378 OR Associated #89320 Rear: Associated #89379 OR Associated #89321 Should I get it and which ones to get? |
i put the solid aluminum ones on my truggy and the other ones on my wife's buggy.
i like 'em both as well, i figured the more rigid ones in the truggy and the plastic ends in the buggy for a bit more flex. |

For that, your going to want these. 89460 - Team Associated Suspension A-plate 89461 - Team Associated Suspension B-plate w/Pins 89462 - Team Associated Suspension C-plate 89463 - Team Associated Suspension D-plate w/Pins |

Can I check why there is a need to change to these suspension plates? Anything wrong with the ones tht come along?
BTW, does this come in the kit? # 89380 wow, those are back in stock... mmm.. yummy blue aluminum  and no THOSE particular ones aren't included in the kit. keep an eye out on ebay for the championship upgrades, the dismantlers spit out parts pretty regularly. |
Ok. I'll think abt it. Thanks.

Sorry but can I check
if the screws provided are Metric or in MM? |
Ain't mm a metric measurement?? The screws are metric on the RC8T:nod:
|
My RC8Te is coming in soon. So all the hardware on it is metric for sure?
I hope this isn't a standard and metric mix like my old Losi 8ight RTR was. Drove me nuts! |

there's nothing "wrong" with the stock ones, the blue a, b, c & d plates are just stronger and allow for more tune-ability. becareful tho the blue is like a drug, and before ya know it you double the price of your ride just in blue upgrades.

But with the FT suspension plate, the B plate uses a bushing like the A plate and allows much more of the hinge pin to actually seat inside the plate. I ran this thing pretty hard all week end with out any problems, including a couple of jumps that involved at least a 10 cart wheel landing! |
metric screw and nut!!

Does the RC8Te use 0 or 1/2 offset wheels? Or what does it come stock with?

Anybody know if I can use the Team Associated Steel Spur Gear instead of the plastic one which came with the RC8Te kit?
I just stripped the plastic spur. I understand that I would have to go with a hardened steel pinion. I was thinking of the Robinson Racing 5mm Bore Extra Hard Steel Mod 1 Pinion Gear (19T). |
