You could be the first to burn up an RX8. I don't think Marino has one yet.
I didn't know Marino still even races. With my luck lately i think i could burn fire up

Can someone explain why Tekin has a 1700kv kit for buggy and a seperate part number for a 1700kv kit for a truggy? They have that both buggy and truggy for most motor sizes but what is the actual physical difference?

Truggy motor is longer. More torque.

Ok i think I might be ready to give up!!! I have a D8 geared with a 17 on the 2650 combo. My battery is now a 3 week old 40c smc. Well here's my problem already..... Ok I hooked up everything today with a fresh charge on the pack and go outside to run it up and down the road and here's what I notice instantly! Ill try to explain this the best that I can and I hope its a user error or something. Ok when you take off everything is fine but whenever you brake or let off the throttle and go to accelerate the buggy just stalls and takes a second or 2 to pick the throttle up almost like its searching for a pick up point???? Its not cogging it just doesn't get back in it like any brushless or electric car period should! It feels like a car that has no balls on the feeway. Like you are running 80 and mash it to the floor and it just doesn't have anymore get up and go except its doing it even if its barely coasting and you hammer it it just hesitates!!!! Any suggestions?????

As I sit here and think about it I'm guessing it might have something to do with dead band???? If this is or isn't it I still need help on what to do to fix it....

Ok good news I was able to fix my problem by looking over the manual.. The problem was somehow the current limiter setting was on 1 led instead of the default 13 led. Once I set it to 13 the problem was instantly gone!!! And now it runs buttery smooth and rides wheelies in the street lmao.....

Last night I played around with it a little more and I am completely smitten. All I can say is get your hands on one, you will not look back. The rx8 is THE E-1/8 RACERS system. Nothing on the market is even in the same league right now.

The bar has been set VERY VERY high. My 1700 systems should be at the crib when I get home.

A+ Tekin.
Hey man whats up? So what are you running in your buggy now? You never updated your sig. I loved my Castle 2200 on 5S with EPA at 80%. Should I do this with the RX8 or will the 1900 be enough? I was thinking the 2000 truggy motor on 5S in my buggy.

I know people have done the castle 2200 on 5s before and liked the setup with the epa down. Has anyone tried this yet on the tekin?

I swear I got a better runtime doing this than running my Neu 1700 on 5S 100%.

Thanks for your infomation. My Hyper 9E original FGR is 11.169, and I think it should be good to gear up to 12 above in 1900KV 5S Lipo.

Nothing in the buggy yet. I had the 1550kv truggy and I just got the 1700kv for the truggy yesterday. The 1700kv buggy motor is supposed to arrive today.

You really are a Speed Freak. 40k RPMs is too much for racing, but I guess if all you are doing is playing around on the track, it won't matter. I don't get the logic of running a high kv motor and then dialing back the EPA. Seems better to just match the motor to the speed you want vs dialing back the epa.

No not racing, just bashing at the track (it's a buggy track but a big one )
I'm gonna buy 4s lipos as soon as I have some cash!

Default sensor tie down

Tekin

Putting in 1900kv combo on Losi Buggy 2.0, how are you suppose to bolt the sensor tie down to the end of the motor? the three black screws are all to short to bolt the black tie down to the end of the motor. i tried last night without any luck.

Should have been a silver 3mm x 10mm flat head socket drive screw in the bag with the black tie down.

There should also have been 4 4/40 x 1/4" pan heads to mount the speedo, some 3mm motor mount screws and the fan screws.
