No advantage to running 10awg wire. If you were to see the conncections insde the Lipo battery you'd understand why it's a waste.

Run 12awg wire, you'll be fine.

I wanted to give a big thank you to Tekin's service department. I sent in 3
rx8's and 4 motors and they really did me right on the warranty and service. Thank you.

Or how about who here runs 12 and who runs 10?
If there was any reason to run 10, something makes me think Tekin probably wouldn't include 12 in the box with the combo.

For a run a few inches long, you're just looking at more hassle trying to solder/route bigger/stiffer wire when going to 10.

On my GTP, I use 10 AWG for the power and 12 AWG for the motors. I use the EC5 connectors for power and 6mm or 6.5mm for motors.

I solder up my own A123 batts with battery bars. The original thin spot welded tabs will blow off the cell with the burst Ampdraw that I pull with some of my setups. I've blown the copper traces off my AcePow batteries with the RX8. The RX8 is still my ESC of choice for 1/8 dragracing. With 4s2p A123 on the RX8, I'm just as fast with peeps running the MMM on 6S!

btw I do use 3 additional caps and tvs's on my RX8.

We're going to need more info than it just "doesn't work". What battery are you using, connectors, etc.

Are there any led's displayed when this occurs? Do you have steering? What motor are you using? etc.

I take it you just then turn on the radio, then plug in battery. I hope
because that is the way my RS is working.... Although I am leary
of trying it on my RX8.

Thanks guys for the info.....and tip. Great product's no matter what
the hater's say!!!!!!!!!

On a side note...the 2050 buggy motor on 3s, in a Slash 4wd. Any idea's
on a good starting point for gearing?

Hey Randy, my rx8/1900 has been working great. I've been getting a radio glitch at one certain section on the track after braking hard for a 180 following a staight away. I"m using a FM radio and it only happens at that one spot. Any ideas?
