Tekin RX8 1/8 Scale Brushless ESC Thread

We all know that this was coming but now it is official.
See it here:

I for one am getting into electric 1/8 scale this upcoming summer. Been looking long and hard for options for electronics. After reading the way people were using the rs pro in their buggies, I am looking forward to this unit.

Looks enticing. Note however, that CC's customer service is 2nd to none. I will continue to buy their products because of that fact. I might have to check into one of these as a 'backup'.

Competition is a good thing! CC does have great customer service but their products, only in my experience, have their share of issues--definitely not top quality but very functional.
The thing I see here with Tekin is that they are showing CAD models and a rendering, February is soon! Still the hard part is the PCB design and software so for them I hope they are further along.
I am not sure really where Novak fits into the whole the equation--I guess they are somewhat competition
. The thing is with 3 players in the 1/8th scale ESC industry we should definitely see some good products and great steps in innovation. Cheers!

The thing I like about tekin and this new speedo is the thread about the rs pro and people using it for 1/8 applications. Not only did the president of tekin get online and discuss this, but he actually went out of his way to help people do this the right way and expand upon it.
Someone correct me if I am wrong but this new esc is based upon the their findings with racers using the rs in 1/8 scale applications.
Obviously I will watch and see what kind of issues arise with this new product. I hope none but with any new product you never know. If it proves to be a winner, I will definately pick one of these things up.

Tekin was using CAD and renderings of their other ESC's for a long time and they turned out looking really good in person, so hopefully this one will follow the same trend. I've got an FX Pro and it is an awesome ESC! Tekin's prices are a bit higher than some others, but you get all the features you could ever want with their products.
