Does the 2050 run coolest with no timing advance or a little bit of timing advance?

Can the timing be adjusted on the T8 motor?

Timing advance is done in the controller so any motor can be timed. I have personally found that the 2050 runs best with a little bit of timing advance (like 10 in the software which would be like 3* of timing).

I hope that he's installed wires since then......or is Tekin trying to become the first "wireless" motor/speedo combo?!

I'm still having Hotwire issues. Vista 64 at home, software won't load. Vista 32 at work, software loads, lights on Hotwire on, lights on ESC on, but I can't get to the screen that will let me change settings. It won't go past the screen that says step 1, plug in ESC, step 2, plug in Hotwire. Tried unplugging and plugging back in, restarting, no go. I need to find a PC with XP to see if this is a Vista issue or a Hotwire issue. Suggestions?

Ok, I installed the RX8 2000kv in my RC8T today, geared at 50/15 and set the timing at 10. It has a lot of table speed... have to see how she does on the track Saturday. If it is anything like my buggy... this is gonna be fun.

I had the same issue today when setting up the RC8T. I downloaded the program from tekin again and reinstalled... problem solved.

I had the same prob when I first got my hotwire.
I did the following to get it going
1. plug esc into battery
2. plug esc into Hotwire
3. plug Hotwire into PC
4. wait for Hotwire to be detected then start Hotwire app.
