I installed velcro in the bottom of my tray. Cool thing is, even if the strap lets go, the velcro underneath is enough to hold it. I once finished the last 12 minutes of a 30 minute main, with no strap holding the pack in. I was SURE the strap would get hung up in or on something... I managed to finish the race with not only no strap... but the dang body fell off too! lol The lights at that track weren't so good, was surprised I could see the dang thing!

I don't have any pics I can easily post but I would get an alum steering servo arm and the alum rear hubs. Never broke either personally but I was told these are the two weak parts if there really are any on this car. It is pretty bullet proof.
Take the rear motor support off as well.

I broke my servo arm the second time out. Losi has a nice selection of servo arms for just about any servo.
So take off the back motor mount? Are you talking about the little curve part under the motor? If so... why?

In my case, it's the darn battery tray. That will be fixed by using foam pads and Velcro to secure the battery. The Losi battery strapps started to fray after a while as well. Other than that, my only problem has been pinion and motor mount screws coming loose. The 8ight is nearly indestructible.

As far as spares, I carry rod ends, the Losi shock parts kit and screw kit and a set of front steering spindles. I haven't broken anything in almost a full year of running nitro and electric. Big air tracks around me too. My truggy has been good to me too but I have a few hours run time and one race on it so far.

do the nitro and the e's use the same spur gears?

47 spur fits on 1.0 and losi conversion with no mods. 48 will require a little work.
