Greetings,

Looks like all the setup sheets on Losi's website use the silver springs up front (Drake, Hodges & etc). I do not have the 2.0E race roller but have built my own conversion which now has all the 2.0 parts. My problem is that those silver springs up front offer me no rebound. My setup should not be any heavier than the factory Losi setup so do not understand what is the deal.

I have been thinking of giving the green ones a try up front. What do you guys use?? Any input will be helpful. Cheers!

I have a 1.0 with some 2.0 parts and a flex tune chassis. On bigger tracks I like the more controlled feel of greens on front. The car feels more solid and consistent. However on tracks with tighter turns or more than one 180 I like the silvers on front because they just turn more. If you like the greens try running the softest front swaybar or no front swaybar to get more steering.

As for no rebound with the silver springs I'd bet you have something binding. Check all the usual suspects: Bent shock shafts, Bent hinge pins, Ream the hinge pin holes thru the arms, Make sure the swaybar moves freely, Inspect the CVDs and dog bones for wear.

Thanks so much for your input. I will check a little closer for binding. I do have squeaks but think everything moves freely. I can afford to lose a little steering since I use that center Smart Diff so the thing can oversteer fairly easy. I will give the green springs a try and see if I will need to take a look at the smaller swaybar. Cheers!

I forgot one other thing to check for binding. As the 8ight arms age they get warped and need to be replaced. This can cause binding and really mess up the effective droop.

I want to convert a losi 8ight-t 2.0 ... Does the LOSA8097 e-buggy body fit on the 8ight-t 2.0 ?

i found the 1.0 arms did this a lot more frequently then the 2.0's...my 2.0's are still strait as an arrow.....they changed something in the plastic blend for sure.

Well i finally pushed the GO button on my electronics for my E 8ight......i went with a Tekin 1900 that i plan to run 4s 5000's......i got all 3 spur's and a 14t 15t 16t pinion's to make sure i gear it right....any other tips when installing ?
