Hello, the Silver Ellipse is the go-to tire out our track (damp clay). Silver Ellipses seem to be sold out everywhere. How much of a difference is there between the Silver and Gold compounds? Would I be better of to substitute Greens or Golds?
Or you can tell me that a huge shipment of Silver Ellipses are about to be sent to all distributors in the next 12 hours and I can get all I need!
I probably only have another race day or two on the ones I have, then I am on slicks. I think our track has been good enough for slicks about 3 times in the last year. I need tires!!

Has anyone had any issues with the JConcepts pre mount wheels/tires being completely oval shaped? I just opened a new set of pre mount rear Fuzz Bites, and they wobble terribly. Measuring across the wheel, they are 2-3mm out of round (diameter difference from min to max).
This is extremely frustrating - curious if anyone also sees this or has a fix.
Thanks!

Transferring a (modified) question over from the B7 thread:
Assuming that B6 bodies do not fit the B7, is there an ETA for B7 bodies? Thank you very much in advance, Paul!

Got in some testing and some other drivers are doing this figured report back ...
The Jconcepts pin swags wide 2wd fronts being used in 4wd buggy, they are a nice option if you want something that doens't have as much of a chunky sidewall and you do get the newer style foams too. Gluing is a slight challenge as the tire can pull when trying to do the first sidewall, causing it not to seat properly. I'd suggest you line up the bead you want to glue, and then kind of have the other side over the other bead towards the center of the wheel, this causes it not to pull so hard on the sidewall at that point. Once that side is glued, you can do the other and use tire bands to hold things properly.
The tires in geneal feel great and more stable. Only place I'd say is watch out on a bumpy surface may want to go back to the regular sized sidewalls if you are not wanting to change your setup. I also glued the actual sidewall like my 4wd pin swags however I have heard of some not having to do that.

Good information. How did the steering feel compared to the regular pin swag? More steering/less/ the same?
^^ This. Depending on conditions you can almost get away without having to glue the sidewall. Only thing is if in a bumpy conditions or have jumps with faces that can be a bit agressive (like a lip or something) you may find the thicker 4wd version a bit better.
I was actually referring to the car kits being built first, then we can work on the bodies and accessories. Unfortunately I don't have an ETA right now, but it will still be a little bit as the B7 is getting a lot of attention right now.
