thats cool. Big fan of them being non-directional. As far as how they perform as they wear, is it basically consistent linear drop off or as the pin tips go is a bigger drop off like how the pin swag rears are when the tips go (just like the schumacher cactus rears)

Quick question on fuzz bites: what glue do you guys normally use ? I have used loctite, proline and aka but these becomes easily unglued running mod on black crc. Even the premounts come unglued!! I have used same glues on proline and Schumacher with great success.

What are you doing for wheel and tire prep?

Are you using at least 90% IPA to clean with?
I do a small amount of SMD soldering from time to time, and the off the shelf drug store variety IPA almost always leaves a white edge residue behind. So i get the 99% laboratory/industrial grade stuff, and it works much better. I will still use the drug store stuff for finding hot components, etc. But for intense solder pad cleaning, or removing flux residue, its always the 99%.
That said...
For my RC Wheels and Tire prep, i generally use Carb or Contact Cleaner sprayed into a micro fiber towel (watch your eyes), and wipe the inner and outer rim of the wheel and beads on the tire.
For glue i have been using Pro-Line. For no particular reason other than it is the most shelf stable in my pit box. I have tried nearly every brand of CA class glues, and they all solidify in the bottle. Pro-Line, or rather whoever they get their formulation from, stays very consistent and flows well over time. I have yet to experience a de-bead, or tear away with the Pro-Line glue. I have with plenty of other brands.
I always use the JC Satellite Bands when gluing, and will always finish with an outter bead of glue on the face, and then a quick shot of kicker. I have been using the Bob Smith Industries Insta-Set aerosol, as opposed to the pump spray stuff. It's probably placebo, but i feel like the kicker gives a stronger more secure bond to the wheel, and ensures all the glue is set in the bead.

I’ve tried proline, aka, and JC thin and they all come unglued. I’ve been using the JC medium and I’ve yet to have a tire come unglued on black crc carpet.
I’ve been gluing on the flat part of the wheel and along the bead of the tire.

Personally as far as the gluing goes I like medium stuff and whatever Bob Industries variant is I like to use that after a cleaning of the wheel surface and tires with some acetone, etc.

I've been using LOCTITE Professional Super Glue and it's been 100% amazing! Zero failures. And I just clean the bead and rim quick with a good alcohol and glue them up. It's the LOCTITE in a blue bottle .71 fl oz/20g. Another plus is that the luer lock syringe tips I use fit right on the bottle with no modifications.
So this is going to be an odd question, but figured give it a shot.
A track here for modified classes has what we call a "legacy" tire rule, basically you have to run non-carpet style tires on the carpet for modified. things like clay tires, etc, treads are fine but have to be soft tires. Right now looking at some things that appear to work, stuff that is softer than clay appears to grip better even if sauced with sxt 3.0 (was all over the place with another brand clay tire).
Anyway, I am a bit intrigued by the Rehab 1/10 buggy tire versus the Sprinter since it has a very dense pin pattern, so could last longer wear wise versus something like a jconcepts flipout (used these in the past years ago, felt like a pinned carpet tire but of course soft and fast wear).
My question is this, when looking at the available compounds, Blue versus Green, haven't not used Blue in a LONG LONG time, how does it compare softness wise compared to Orange clay compound?
