Default Xb4 2014 vs xb4 2016

I just got a used 2014 and have not even run it yet. Is there a big enough difference that it would be worth it to upgrade to the 2016

The biggest difference is going to be saddle pack config vs. shorty pack config. 2014 only allows for saddle and 2016 is shorty only.

If you are considering switching the 2014 over to a 2016 by purchasing all the parts to make the 2014 into a 2016, I would not do it. It is much to expensive to convert a 2014 car over to a 2016.

If you are thinking of buying a brand new 2016 kit to replace the 2014, that would definitely be doable. The 2016 is noticeably better than the 2014 and if you want the latest and greatest, the 2016 would be a good pick.

I think that the answer would be more related to what surface you run on. A dusty and low grip track might cater towards the 2014 car with more weight from the saddle pack. If you run on higher grip, many have found the 2016 to be a great choice. I think in summary the shorty configuration cars are more nimble than the saddle and I personally prefer the shorty configuration.

Either kit is great. As long as your having fun with it. I just freshened up my 13 and am still thoroughly enjoying it.

Yep,

and they are supposed to cut down on chatter at full wheel lock.

Anyone have an optional rear spring suggestion comparable to XRAY's 1dot rear. Would rather find another brand that is close than have to order abroad as the 1 dots are pretty much out of stock.

Thanks

Symmetricon,

Thank you for the offer my friend I greatly appreciate it. No need to check to see if you have extras as Amain has them listed in stock as we speak.

Thanks Fellas as always the help on this thread is greatly appreciated.
