some readings i got after 5-8 minutes of running around (mostly full throttle), this is on a 75* day.

battery temperature: 94*
esc temperature: 105*
motor temperature: 164*
Looks pretty good. Just keep tabs on the motor temp but at this time you should be good.

THe 5700 motor is the most versatile. You can run 2 cell or 3 cell lipo. With the 3 cell lipo setup it will be faster than the 2 cell 7700 setup. If you just want the fastest on 2 cells then the 7700 is a beast.

again i want to ask. will the regular MM handle a mega motor? it will only be run on 3s and is 3500kv. it is 6 pole, but isnt a huge motor like a neu running on 4 or 5s lipo. so should i wait for the MMM or should i just go for the MM?

It will work fine, but I would wait. It should be out in May.

LOL...yeah that would probably get me there faster. Seriously though, I'm the type of guy that doesn't care who you race for...I'm "Johnny on the spot" for everyone. Fair play is a must for me...otherwise, it's not really winning...just a shallow semblance of victory.

Anybody who wants info on the Monster Max, or would like to pre-order one, it's now on the site.

Do I need only the USB cable like the Mamba max or the full on castle link kit?

If I need the kit, how can I just buy the attachment sans USB Cable since I already have the cable.

By the way, you guys doing anything special for preorders like including that cable kit for free?

Default Sidewinder w/ DUO 13.5 settings

Joe/Crash,

i have a Sidewinder running a 13.5 Trininty DUO that is having real problems at low speed. The hesitation that the system gives make sit borderline impossible to drive in a race type enviornment.

I have updated to the latest firmware 1.17.

I have tried three different LIPO packs: 3200 Orion, 4800 Orion, 4500 Trinity Li-Pro.

TC4

Airtronics M11 2.4 Ghz

Geared FDR 4.29

how should I have my speedo setup with the electronics package I have?

The Castle Link will be included free with EVERY Monster Max. We're taking the USB connection off the next version of the Mamba Max...just so none of you are shocked when you see the next version without one. Still a ways off though...

majic...what do you have the ESC programmed for? Calibrated to the transmitter after updating the software? Let me know.

took the t4 out again and ran it until the lipo cutoff kicked in to check run time, it went 10 minutes. what's the average length of a race, 5-6 minutes? the battery and esc temps were ok but the motor hit 214* at the end of the 10 minute run. should i drop the pinion size to help the motor temp or if the race is only 5-6 minutes the temp should be below 200*?

Yes, drop a pinion or two. Temps over 200F can damage the motor. Hopefully you havent done any damage already.

the motor has been above 200* just this one time. as long as the motor still works and performs, the short time above 200* means nothing to me. that limit is a recommended limit from the manufacturer, kind of like how much power you can use. now i will not run the motor above 200* as i will make adjustments to bring the temp down. if the motor did toast we all know what needs to be done, remove and replace! i'm just trying to get pointed in the right direction and i'm sure others that have my exact setup can chime in.
