I have a Futaba 3PK with the HRS Type receiver and trying to set up a Mamba max speedy but not having any luck. Has anyone else had this problem and what needs to be done to get working.

Its like the switching rate is too quick to run through the set up.

That is the exact setup I used up until about 2 weeks ago. Only problem I had setting it up was when I didn't have the throttle setup for reverse. Once I changed that part of my radio setup was easy. Just hold full brake on the radio with it on and turn on the speedo and run thru the setup program.

I ran my EPA at 100 for throttle and 100 for brake when setting up the speedo.

Default brushed motor

Hi, Anybody have experience using the Mamba Max esc to run the Trinity CO27 stock motor? When I pull the trigger on the controller, the motor will only started rotating when the trigger is at least pulled 5mm from the neutral position. I try adjusting the throttle throw to compensate for the delay in throttle as I used to do with brushed esc, but it's not doing anything to the mamba max esc. Is there anything on the mamba setup that I can use to immediately turn the motor the moment I pull the trigger? Thanks.

Note, when using mamba 6900 motor, it will immediately took off the moment the throttle is pressed.

I expereinced the same type of issue with my mamba 25 in micros when running brushed. turn your deadband to the smallest available and see if that helps. which radio do you have? I run a 3PK and i used the throttel accel feature to jump over the dead spot(i still had a gap , even with the smallest deadband)

WHen I first started racing with my MM I ran stock and 19t motors for about 3 months. It was before Castle added the dead band feature. I did have some deadband but it never hurt my speed or how proportional the overall feel was. You can adjust the deadband now with the newest Castlelink so turn it down the smallest setting and if you want a little more feel you can also use a little postive expo in the throttle side maybe like +10 to start. Try the deadband setting first.

Default Throttle lag

Thanks guys... I'll will set the dead band to the smallest setting, and recalibrate my Futaba 2.4Ghz 3pm radio.. hopefully it will engange the co27 brushed motor as soon as I pressed the trigger..

With the mamba 6900, no throttle lag, smooth as silk with the new firmware..

well i have kindof been putting of getting a mamba max and waiting for the MMM. but the way i see it, i will never run more than a 3s lipo... it is a 3500kv 6 pole brushless motor to be run in a revo geared for about 40-45mph. should i wait for the MMM or will the MM be fine with this motor?

Hey Joe did that paint scheme happen to resemble a Lager by any chance? If it did I could get to it pretty fast.

We had 14 plus guys for opening day running the Mamba and Sidewinder systems and no problems at all. All ran flawlessly with all important no thermaling. Once guy had his laptop for all to use all day long. Everyone in mod 2wd ran the 4600 or 5700 and the 4wd ran the 5700 or a few sick guys ran the 6900.

Track was brutal today and like driving on ice. I was able to adjust my speedo to conditions of the track. It did help out alot.

Last year for the outdoor season we only had 3 guys running Castle stuff but this year between 2wd, 4wd and Mini's we had over 14 plus guys running today. It was awesome.

i took my mamba max 5700 system out for it's first test drive today. it was very quick and smooth. can someone let me know if my setup seems to be ok?

car: associated t4
gearing: 17/87
battery: 3800 2 cell lipo
motor/esc: mamba max 5700 system

some readings i got after 5-8 minutes of running around (mostly full throttle), this is on a 75* day.

battery temperature: 94*
esc temperature: 105*
motor temperature: 164*
