Hey guys. I have been looking at getting a new chassis for my car. Mainly cause mine is tweaked. Been looking at the rsd and the exotek chassis. I like the exotek one cause of the new bulkheads and the hing pin holders. But I like the rsd cause it comes with the nice steering rack.

What do you think is the best to get.

I am going for the RSD. Steering is major improvement plus a change of geometry to keep up with the latest batch of TC just came out

Default Chassis protector

Does anyone use to recommend some type of chassis protector?

Default chassis

u can purchase the chassis protector by Associated or Losi.
trace out the lower deck and cut...then slap it on.

but then again replacing the TC6.1 chassis is pretty low cost...
have fun using it.

Since I got the FT and not a WC chassis, I'm seriously thinking about the RSD6 upgrade. The steering setup looks top notch.

rsd6 all the way! it works!

I just came home from testing the new WC parts. I am really happy! I beat my fastest lap easily and was around 1-2 tenth faster the whole session. Little changes in Anti-Roll-Bar and Rollcenter made the car easier to drive and faster in the chicanes, and also cured a little understeer that showed after changing from FT to WC.

you guys- a chassis protector is as easy as going to Wally world and getting a roll of clear or colored contact paper (not paper). You'll have more than a life time of chassis protectors for about 5.00 . Less if you go to the dollarstore or Big lots.I have green and clear you need any Pete- I'll bring it with me this weekend.

Lightbulb steering and ratio

hello all

if you want to try the tc6 by turning the servo , just replace the ackerman setting screw by a pivot ball the do a hole on the main chassis plate and that all

this is a good way to try before going to rsd conversion for exemple

here some pics

latest one is a simple way to set the short camber link using an old or damaged top plate parts

i will race into the french hpi trophy will use a LRP spin and motor 13.5 k4 it is the only motor agreed in this class do somebody knew something about the ratio (spur and pinion on 48 dp ) to start with my intention to try 84 x 26 on alsphalt outdoor track with 80 meters straight and a short hair pin

many thanks

Rick, do you have a good starting point for a dual diff carpet set-up?
