i think so too, the cars just look better on top of that and waaaaay less maintenence. this track is very well kept and has EXCELLENT traction you can drive very aggressive even with 13.5's on rubber! MOD TC's reach 68mph down the straight!

After the initial tests with the EXO104 I must say I'm impressed!

I love when people do the underdog. I'm getting sick of seeing red cars all the time.

@All: Has anybody used the telemetry sensors from Spektrum in his car?

I stay with 0 camber.
Car needs more steering into corners but is wicked loose out of corners.
That's on every surface as far as I have felt.
When adding camber it helps the steering everywhere which makes it even stupider coming out of corners.
Therefore I just live with the push into the corners (brake to turn in) and keep as much grip out of the corners as I can get. Negative camber kills that exit grip I need.

Sounds like you need more toe out! Adding toe out will increase steering into the corner but less steering coming out. Conversely toe in will decrease steering into the corner but increase steering coming out.
NB> too much toe out can make the car wander down the straight...

I do run max toe out and it does help a bit to increase steering into corners and decrease out of em.
I find that this alone is not enough to get the car good.
I also run the 3.5 offset steering knuckles which also helps.
Adding camber on top of these tricks adds steering to the whole setup which kills the exit, makes the car loose coming out of the corners again.
I prefer to settle for a little push into and a lot of bite out of the corners.
My car has always been calm and relatively easy to drive on our unprepped asphalt surface at Tamiya Aliso.
Just had great results again at their recent Regional race.
Calm is good here.
Robk, thanks for the kind words in your writeup of the TCS Nationals 2010 on your blog page!
I REALLY like what you are doing there!
I'm gonna sign up immediately! Not sure why I haven't already?
It's awesome!
Everyone must go here and check out Robk doin work!

You can buy the Virgin sheet from "cosmosaml" on ebay.
I was too lazy to mask the lines so I cut stripes from a white vinyl sheet.
