this looks like great idea, i have ordered one now for my f104 saves cutting the ears off thats for sure.

onthis question what a good servo to be using these as i have only servos from my 1/8 nitro cars i used to have i was going to put my futaba S9351 into the F1

Cant go wrong with a Savox 1251mg low profile servo. I use one, they're a great servo.

i thought i would get my self a new servo for my new car then everything is new ready for action.

i have been looking at the team power lipo packs since i will be running the sports tuned i was just going to get the 2500 lipo 20c , can any body comment on these packs i am not really up to speed on the lipo side things as yet, i thought they would be okay with plenty of run time with the sports tuned 540 whats the go with with 20c vs 30c ?

How do you prevent the turnbuckles from hitting the mounting on the servos case, without cutting them, especially when you place it in the upward position to adjust the Ackemann-Geometry?

I use a low profile savox in mine and the turnbuckles have plenty of room. I didn't trim the mounting flanges off my servo either. I had to use longer ball studs to get the links level, and even then I still have clearance to the flanges.
I don't think you can run a standard size servo in that orientation, but maybe one of the experts can confirm that.

Basic F60 Ferrari body question:

What paint colors do I need to complete the painting?

I know Tamiya has the special "Ferrari Red" for the main color, and I'll need black for the edging/underbody. I didn't know if the special red was opaque, or if I'll need a silver/white backer for it.

Will I also need gunmental/silver for details like the exhaust stacks?

Well the car is together and it all looks good.I am running on 40' x 90' carpet track with foam tires and 21.5 brushless system.I have the smaller of the two spur gears that came in the kit and I am wondering what a good rollout is for a start? Nobody at our track has a F1 so I am hoping a few of the guys will see this and get inspired. I enjoyed the build so much that I am selling my World GT car and am going to build a second F1 with a 1cell and 17.5 brushless.

Anyone know the max dimensions for a battery pack that will fit in the Exotek chassis?

Basically the '20c' is the output amperage a lipo battery or any battery for that matter will provide to the esc. i.e A 5000mAh 40c lipo can output 200 amps to the esc. The equation is 5.0 amps x 40 (the C rating). Lipos with a higher C rating can deliver more amperage or power easier than those of a lower C rating. Hope this helps.
