I noticed that the big o-ring between the two halves can't be reused because it swells up and won't fit back in its slot so I ordered replacements. I'm guessing this is normal?
It's normal and you actually don't need to use one. I've used down to 500cSt without any leakage.

Ive personally had an issue at 700 where it leaked. I usually tighten using an x pattern too.

I've been trying to get at a 3.85ish fdr...my old spur gears from my tc6 don't fit this car and I cant seem to find a combination of spur and pinion available that will work. I bought a couple 84t/48p X-ray spur gears and a 43t/48p pinion gear, but the combo won't fit in the car, pinion too large.

Not even my 36t/48p pinion works with that spur.
Anyone get to an FDR of around 3.85-4.00 without having to hack a non xray brand spur gear?

I've looked at the gearchart from xrays site and I'm assuming it shows the only working combinations with X-ray spurs. Has anyone tried a combination that was a drop in fit not shown on the chart?
I've searched amainhobbies and couldn't find the 69t/48p I was looking for...

Either way, I race blinky at a track where the FDR's are around 3.85, I race at others where fdrs are 4.5 and
6. I want to just have one spur gear to cover this range and just have to change pinions.

48dp pinion/spur , 38/72 will do the trick(3.8 i think). RW racing for both parts. Can be found on ebay
Not sure if you will ever have one spur to cover all scenarios, best to buy a couple.

Serpent spurs also have the correct 3 hole pattern.

It is. I've herd that quite a few guys skip fitting this o-ring and have not had a problem.

T3 lower deck advice please. Which would give more rear traction?

Smokem T3mx or Xray 2mm lower decks.

What's the mod? Page numbers depend on your settings and aren't the same or everyone.

The euro has hit a two year low versus the USD. Will we see some more reasonable prices soon on xray parts?
