From my experience with nikitas and 50mm shafts so far, you might wanna shim the aftermarket's also. 5 packs, 17.5 boosted and I bent the right side. I'm sure an impact helped.

The newest nikitas are longer. I've had the 50mm on my car and there is plenty of engagement without shims.

Believe it or not, no. Nothing broke. Noticed it when I was hitting her with the compressor at home after running. It is just slightly bent. Should be able to slightly bend back with the vice. I haven't got in there yet, but im pretty sure it's not broke. Shouldn't make a difference but this is on an 008. Not a '12. They are awesome outdrives, just sharing my experience. They will be shimmed when I rebuild.

Will I be able to meet the weight criterion of 1,350gr this way?!

I made 1350 with heavier stuff so I say you will no problems. I did shorten my wires though.

I have all wires as short as possible and my car came in at 1308 with no balancing weight on it yet.

The setup bok discusses the ball diff settings (tight vs loose) this is comparable to gear diff setup, tight = high wt oils and loose = low wt oils.

Hi first on road car for me. Been running e offroad for 5 years. I just got a T3R. I know its not the best but is supposed to be a real good ashpalt chassis. Can someone direct me to a good easy driving ashpahlt outdoor setup? Geared 96/45 right now. Thanks! We are running 17.5 blinky with spec tires.

I was in a similar position. Get the 30g center weight to start. I added that weight plus fans for the speedo and Motor. Ended up with around 44g of weight on the car to get to 1380g.
