Xray T3 2012
#4232

hey Bikerbob
I have setup a t3 2011 for a loaner in our club. it worked so well, the guy bought it. what I did was try my best to recreate a T4 setup. springs, shock pistons, and shims are the most important. I built the shocker with the 4 hole 1.1mm pistons with 450 shock oil. For springs, I went with what I had available, 3.0 in the front and 2.6 in the rear. In my T4 I run progressive 2.5-2.8 in the front and 2.7 in the rear, so if you can get them, I'd put that in it. other than that 3* of toe in the rear is all I can remember off the top of my head. For everything else, I will see it at the next club race and I'll take pics and write down what I did.

Yeah, that has been pretty much what i have been doing. Though i think your shock setup is a little different than i have now. I hate doing shocks.
i have specR diffs in the cars and getting a concensus on lube for the diff has also been a chore. Thanks for the input ill try the 450 with the 4 hole.

I have the chance to pickup a T4-17 for about $200 USD.. I know the suspension holder system is so much better. I could also get a Team C TC10'18 for $150USD.
Lower towers, shorter shocks, better suspension holders, I have been trying to fight it, but I think I am going to buy one.
Use the T3s for VTA or USGT?

Well, I did pickup the T4-17.. Was not in the best of shape, but its all there. Working on getting it together.
Ran the T3s in a race at the end of the year. I was pretty happy with how they ran. Actually had better performance with the Stock 17.5 than the USGT. Now I will take them down and re-build. T4 to stock 17.5 then T3s to USGT and VTA.
I run the SPEC-R gear diffs in the T3s - the original one. I see they have a HD unit which is built much more like the xray with the housing o-ring. Anyone tried that?

Hmmmm.. just looking at the current pricing.. and the face the SpecR stuff is not available.. its not that much more to just get the Xray. Hmmm
Well.. they are secondary cars now anyway.. so the stuff I have will work.
Anyone tried to see if the newer T4'18 towers will bolt on to the T3? get the lower towers and ULP shocks on this thing?
