Probably 3-4. Just get some tires on the car, get out your ride height gauge and start shimming. I don't have the exact measurements in front of me, but put some in and check it. The nice thing is that once it is done, it is done.

What are people running for caster/reactive caster with the new rubber tires and new black carpet?
I'm running the GenX SE bone stock except for ride height shims.

Default servos

I JUST PURCHASED A CALANDRA X GEN 10 RT. DO YOU NEED A MICRO SERVO IN THEM, OR WILL A STANDARD SIZE SERVO WORK? IF I HAVE TO RUN A MICRO SERVO, WHAT DOES EVERYONE SUGGEST?

THANKS

JASON

5 deg reactive and run as much caster as possible. If corner exit is not smooth reduce the caster one shim at a time. You may also want to raise the front roll center 2mm. CRC has a shim kit for that.

A mini servo (not micro) is suggested. Sanwa SRG-HR+HS, Spectrum A5040, JR 3717, KO RSX 12, Hitec 225MG, Futaba 9650 or BLS671.

Sanwa SRG HR (light, low, fast), Spectrum 5040 (affordable and excellent performance), JR3717 (great specs and very durable)

The Hitec servo recommended for pan cars is the digital/coreless 7235MH. http://hitecrcd.com/products/servos/...-servo/product

Slightly off-topic, but at a couple of events in 2016 we did some limited testing of a WGT-R based car on the high banked ENCINO VELODROME (concrete oval)

The testing went so well that we've created 2 new "SPEC" oval classes using the CRC WGT-R based tires

1 we'll call OVAL SPEC-R, it will be basically ANY Oval Pan Car with WGT-R tires (pre-mounts) with the McAllister NASCAR style Gen6 bodies.

the other we'll just simply call GT-R, it will use World GT type chassis w/ the WGT-R tires and a Protoform 200mm P37-N body.

Throughout 2017, we hope to test THESE cars on a few other track layouts as well, and use it as a complete "Oval Spec" package for multiple tracks in 2018.

Hi all,

So I stopped by and saw my old buddies at The Gate Saturday and somehow left with a couple WGT chassis ready to be made into one GTR car. When I got home a read through this whole thread to get a feel for what I needed to make the car into a GTR ready racer.

So after some research on the CRC site I believe what I have is an WGT-LE with Gen X-10 front end mount plates (not sure why). So my question is with these mount plates I have three wheelbase holes instead of the two on the LE and SE cars. So which should I use? I know Dumper says to flip the LE plates and use the short holes but if I go short is that the same as the LE mounts short?

I am using shimmed stock rear pods and my wheelbase with the front arms in the full short holes is right at 9.875. Does that sounds about right?

Thank in advance!

Chris

Default Front Wheel Chatter.

First race with a Calandra Gen-X 10 r/t and had an issue with the front wheels chattering on high speed corners.
I am running the kit springs in the front, 1* negative camber and the side walls ARE NOT glued.

Any suggestions???? Thanks

Hello all... just introducing myself to you all. Picked up a CRC R/T kit today from Larry's RC and planning on running at either Xtreme Carpet Raceway in Bay City or Hobby Stop West in Toledo.

Picked up a Spektrum Servo, Orion 1S Lipo, and Trinity Certified 1S 17.5 motor.

Now just trying to decide on a 1S ESC. I have never owned a HobbyWing product, was always a LRP guy.

Any feedback/suggestions/comparisons to the different 1S ESCs available?

Hobbywing stuff is ood stuff. Their new v4 ESC is TINY!

https://www.amainhobbies.com/hobbywi...112401/p540791

If I was buying a new one this would be the one I would get.

I will be starting with a Turnigy Trackstar Gen2 1s ESC. Mainly because it came with the car I bought but also because until I get some practice it won't be the ESC holding me back! LOL Maybe after I get decent I'll upgrade.
