I ran a friends Novak 10.5 last night with a mamba. Used the same settings I am using for the orion 3.5 and I had no cogging even off the line. Just one thing, you really really need some goods batteries with the novak or else you will have a lot of cogging.

What motor should I get for my B4? 4600 or 5700? I was thinking about the 4600. Mainly going to be racing slicks on high traction red clay indoors.

steve, if ur talkin bout BnJ. then run a 5700. enuff punch for there, but if u wanted to go to pitstop during warm mths and run u would be okay. 4600 too (Thats what i run at pitstop). either way u'd be fine

Brian and I are planning on making a trip to Pitstop on the 29th. We will be racing at BnJ this winter. I was thinking of of getting both 4600 and 5700. When I raced offroad before at both places, I used a 19T motor.

i had a 5700, had to size down. too much power for PS. i'd only dabble in bumps here and there this winter, so the 46 will be fine. yes i wish someone had a sensorless 8.5 or 10.5 for ps. i'd take it.

very interesting. granted its not a mamba. but as others have said, dont see them makin any 'slower' stuff than the 46. granted gettin those types of motors out sometime in near future could help them 'make the others cry' in gettin their name on the Amain lists in the mags.

any1 try em yet?

Thanks for the info. I will see you at Pitstops on the 29th. If I don't have my system by that time. I will just run a KD19T.

i know that you run the vortex 3.5 with the mamba esc. my question is can i use 5 cell, and get the same proformance as a LRP tc/ vortex 3.5 setup or will i have to use it as 6 cell? if i used 6 cell then would the 4.5 be better in terms of control/drivablity? track is a large outdoor track.

The only thing I can say is that the mamba max uses more battery power as to the LRP tc. If you are running on a large track a 3.5 will be perfect as you can gear it a bit higher as to the LRP. I have run a FDR 7.93 on small track without problems. If you need to race with 5 cells I think the LRP will be better choice for runtime.

sounds like 3.5 / 6 cell is the way to go. right now im running around FDR 6.75on my 6900 which is super fast down the straight keeping up with the faster gas cars. it seems to using around 3000mah though and the batteries are pretty hot. i lost 1 cell from 2 pack and the 1 other im dumping one corner after the finish. i dunno, is the gearing killing my batts?

i dont even run that low of a gear ratio with my 4600 but the again my track is probably smaller than yours i would raise it up a bit to maybe a 7 or 7.25
