Ours is custom built, I cant give any details of it or its opperation but lets just say its trick..

For comcerial zappers, I have nevere tested any of them but have heard good things about the quillen.. I can't remember who, but a while ago another matcher was telling me that he was using that one with decent results.

I don't know about the indy one.

Sorry wish I could help more.

Default ATnR

Hey Korgae... this is Dave Williams. I started a small matching business several years ago out of Norfolk Va... called ATnR. I dont know if you remember me or not, but i spoke to you on a regular basis when i ordered cells from... CRCI in Canada... i believe it was called. Divorce ended the business... but i wanted to let you know i appreciate all the help and patience you guys gave me. You were running for Yok at the time... are you still? Anyways... thanks again..and i hope things are well for you.

Hi Dave,

yes I remember you. Good to hear from you, I no longer run for Yokomo. or head up that company that we met through. Just over a year ago I quit and joined Jack & Danny ( SMC & Jaco) I also switched to AE. So far so good

too bad to hear about your Company and your divorce.

i have been reading the posts in this forum and i have some questions:

1. i read that you recommed using the tray only before you charge, if so, doesn't this negate the fact that a tray isn't a 30 amp discharger... also, if i discharge with a tray before i charge, should i let my packs rest before charging them, if so, how long

2. what type of tray discharger do you recommend

3. i discharge using 15 pcs of double contact bulbs, and put a volt meter on the positive and negative poles to check that i discharge up to 5.4 volts only, but in one of your posts, i read that this wasn't recommened, why not?... Also when i started doing this my packs didn't reach their capacity anymore, should i have used a tray, before charging them

4. a TURBO35 is kinda out of my league, would an LRP pulsar with a 10amp discharge or the new REEDY Quasar pro with a 20amp discharge be good enough to bring down my packs to 5.4 volts, after a run.

5. how long does a normal pack return to room temp, because, now in the summer time, if i don't put a fan in my batts, they kinda take a long time to cool down, about 1.5 hours

thanks in advance...

3000 more $ than 3300??

Maybe someone asked this question before, but why are the 3300s cheaper than the 3000s and the site even says the 3000s are discounted. If 3300s are now ROAR legal, then why would somebody buy 3000s for more?

whatever, just being curious

HWYMAN-

after a run you should bing the pack down to 5.40V by way of dishcharger. then when you about to charge it, place the pack in a tray for a few minutes, until the LEDS just go out this is done just ot get any residueal charge out of the pack before you start to charge.

We are testing with the Integy trays for now.. Trintytrayalso works good without the fan)

I dont remember saying blbs was a bad way to dishcharge. if its all you have then its all oyu have, its bettert odo it then not to do it at all. I did say that their were better ways of going about doing it throught a devise.

your always going to lose capacity, the question is how much and how often. I dont know the history of our packsso I can t commnet.

as with the chargers. if that is the only availble discharge to you then yes it will be better then nothing, but 30 amps (however you go about it)

you could use the Qasar or the Pulsar jsut for charge, and use your bulbs to bring a pack down.

1.5 hours is normal or average. for a pack to return to room temp. I know it feels like ever, but its better then fannign the pack.

Rat Racing- Thanks for the info

B3 Boy- the GP3300's come from China opposed to the Sanyo 3000's coming from Japan, this = higher production costs and their for a more expensive cell to produce.

Default Battery Shelf Life

Hi! What is the shelf life of a brand new unassembled matched 3300 pack? Will it not go bad if sitting in a hobbyshop shelf for a few months? Six months? A year? Thanks.

In our testing, The GP cell does not show any sign of deteration over time, Never really tested the Sanyo 3K's in a unbuilt stage.

In all honesty we havent found a ny quirks about the GP cells.
