what kind of rollout you guys running on carpet with 17.5? track is about 60x30. It's a new class here so not alot of help locally. Below is a pic, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, it was something goofy alright ... but not with the car, just with the dipstick maintaining the car.

The rear diff was VERY loose. Tightened it up and the car handled exactly as advertised. Very stable and fast (too fast for the driver, but that is a different topic).

Thanks!

Is the TC5R quality good compared to the Xray (probably not), Schumacher, Tamiya, Corally,...? It's an interesting piece of kit, but in offroad there are some serious quality problems with the latest kits of the B4, so maybe the TC5R wears fast as well? I intend to use a 10,5 and LiPo.

I race every other week so I generally do it after every race because there is nothing else going on...

Absolutely. Up front cost, the XRay is definately more money. At the end of the season, you're probably the same. I used to run XRay but I am now running the TC5R and I honestly like it better.

Got to post 7881 a few pages back, Josh has posted his current setup. Most everyone in our area anyway is running it or something very close to it.

I dont know the pn off hand but they are losi 57 pistons for the off road cars not the tc car.
I have one car built with associated 3's and it feels and drives the same.

I'm currently running Rick Hohwart's setup from the IIC. Josh H's setup is really good too(refer above).

Aluminum out drives for the diff, slipper pads for the front diff, optional rubber "o" ring set up for the top deck. The R says its a ITF chassis and top plate, but both are 2mm thick.
