Ok, thanks. Let me guess, you race at Lazer too?
Last year, I was in the stock TC class. In the A-Main, Nate was running a TC5 with a Novak 13.5 BL system and he got first. I think there were quite a few TC5's including me. Top 3 were running 13.5 I think.. Results

Can someone post the part number for the long silver ball studs. Are they 8mm or 10mm?? I am having trouble keeping them tight when I use shims under mine? Maybe I have the wrong ones?
Thanks

Are you running foam or rubber? If rubber, how old are the tires?
I'm running the latest Josh H setup ...
On Saturday, I was running a track with a high speed sweeper to the left and the car wanted to spin out during the sweeper and then the significant hairpin at the end of sweeper.
On Sunday, I was at a different track with a high speed sweeper to the right and a 180 hairpin at the end ... and the car wanted to spin out at the sweeper and did on the hairpin.
Any suggestions on what is goofy with my car? Going to rebuild my diff this week ... but anything else to look at?
Thanks

Mr Crum is correct.
The TC5R comes with all the goodies that are ideal for rubber tire racing.

On another note, does anyone have a setup for stupid-bite asphalt? lookin to get in some practice at the track for the ROAR paved nats this year, and the only way to describe the bite that they get there is dumb. im almost thinking a carpet rubber setup would work. Anyone have any insight on this? (didnt the '06 paved nats take place at a situation similar to this?)

Do you think the lower chassis is absolutely necesary? I have the springs from my retired tc4. I figure I could order two spools and use the outdrives from the other for the rear and have spare spool parts. On another note and I hate to ask but I couldnt find a setup sheet for my type of track. I run on a very small track (7-9 seconds). Using brushed stock, what would be a safe gearing starting point? What would a safe weight for the shocks be to start off with? Asphault sprayed with soda.

It will make a difference, especially in low bite (most rubber tire stuff). I would guess that 116/28 is a safe starting point, i could be +- a few teeth though. 40wt is probably safe on the oils
