Well I talked with Marty Today and he said the DB12R will be on its way soon!

I for one can not wait!

There are 5 of us that are going to race and test the top 5 1/12 scale cars out there today. We will be running cells only 4600's and Brushless SP GT seires. and WindTunnel's 962 Bodies (Painted up with the old time Livery) and we will also be running a 13.5 BL motor, Question is this Good for 1/12 scale or would a 10.5 be better, New to 1/12 scale.

Club Racing! same bodies same motors same batteries. 5 cars, Fun!!!!!!!!!

C.C.

sorry to bug you guys but,

i need some help..... i just purchased a db12r and am in need of some starting set-up points....
i am fairly new to 1/12, only been running since november.... i was running a 12l4 with the .063" t-bar and dbl pinks up front and whites in the rear. our carpet isnt even a year old as it was purchased in october and it isnt a permanent track
ok so the info i need is a starting point for tires.... all we have around here is jaco's and pretty much every current compound is available.
also wondering what servo you guys use.... i was using a hitec 225mg but it wont fit in the mounts.... which is the prfered servo the futaba 9602 or the 9650?

again sorry to bug all you guys but any help would be greatly appreciated

hey lorider. start with the kit setup it works very good. run jaco lilac up front and yellow or gray rear. run shurlube in the tubes #3 or #4 and on front king pins. use the futaba 9650 or ko 949 they fit perfect and are top notch. mount it flat with the medium height ballstuds on the steering knuckles. stock flex plates with no set screws. if you need more steering use tall ball stud on antenna mount to make shock flatter also can try red or copper spring. have fun buddy. you will love this car. any questions feel free to ask or pm me.

I have been running the 9602 for a couple of months now with no issues. For tires I would start with yellow rears and lilac or purple front (lilacs with give a little more steering).

i tried purple fronts on my 12l4 and couldnt get it to turn no matter what else i did. I think we got a set of lilacs floating between pit boxes so maybe i will give those a try.
thanks for the help, hopefully i can get this little bugger set-up over the weekend and ready for racing

another quick question....
what rear ride height spacer are you guys running?
i usually use the tires right out of the box, run them once or twice then recheck ride height.... it was always around 3-3.5 on the 12l

I think with full size prism it would be 2.0 or 2.5. You want your ride hight to be about 3.5-4.0 mm
