how often, and how can the flex plates break? hits from the side? ill pick up a few, or actually, ill just wait until it happens, because they have tons of parts at the track.

i've had the car since it came out. i had one flex plate break cuz i got blasted by a touring car during open practice. other than that there has been no problems with them...at least that's the case for me.

My car didn't make the gallery A main......
Parts that break.. The flex plates take the brunt of most hits, just like the T-bar on RC124 type cars. I can change flex plate quickly ( I timed it 4 minutes 13 seconds ), a T-bar plate will take about 20 + minutes plus tweaking it...
But it takes a big hit to break them...

Hmmm.... 253 seconds to change out a flex plate..... Actuall I did it in 68 seconds during a qualifier and was able to finiah the qualifier...... I bought and assembled the side pivot balls and flex plates ahead of time so if one was to break a quick swap out and back to racing!

hey jason, i saw that shreffler used black fiberglass .060 side plates at the birds on his set-up sheet. what thickness is the thin plates and the standard plates. something i want to try at our track is running the thinner side plates and set screws. we have so much traction at our track and i just cant seem to free up the rear of the car any more. also gonna try parma tires as well. i just cant seem to get my car to carve the corners. thanx bro.

hey craig - the thin plates with screws and thick with screws feel nearly the same. both are quicker than without set screws. I had a 13.5t in one car and a 10.5t in the other. I ran 40wt/red spring with both think and thin plates at 360 last Saturday along with 0.018 front springs.
my next setup chgs will be trying the old skol and CRC front ends. I'm also going to finally try softer tires than purple or black front and grey rear.
btw - what are fast times on the new 360 layout? the best u could do was 12 flat but traction was low Saturday.
