Hey Guys,

The front springs are complete and will start shipping on monday. I tried them on 2 styles of kingpins. I tried them on the stock kingpins and on IRS long 1/12th kingpins. The IRS kingpins give you more roll center adjustment than the stock ones but both work fine. You will just need to remove 2 shims from the top of the stock kingpins and you are set.I will be selling the springs as a kit with all 3 pairs and 1 set of retainers. I will also be offering the kit with the IRS kingpins if desired. They fit great and are preset so they will not collapse on you.

Aloha Fellas

Just wanted to say I am new to 12th scale racing (had 2 races so far with a 12L4) And am really glad I made the jump into this class!!! Even being the slow guy here is still a lot of FUN!!!hehehe

I race with InspGadgt (as well as FJR aka Go Frank and Manny) and although he is just getting his BMI DB12R they have been a great help for us here in Hawaii with setup and other issues. Most of us here are all new to 12th scale racing.

Anyways I am posting in here as I recently scored a BMI DB12R off of Ebay!!! I really was'nt looking but it was just to good of a deal to pass up!

And I want to be like my Hero Go Frank who is also running a BMI DB12R!

I just got the car in yesterday and it's in great shape! Not sure exactly when I will start using it yet? As it seems a shame to run this thing on our parking lot track

I have always like BMI's work and am glad that I got the chance to own one of their products and look forward to racing it!

Glad to have you running the car buddy. If there is anything we can help you with or if you would like to post your results with the car, please do. Have fun with the car and let me know if you need any help.

Yeah, but unlike you most of us move toward the front eventually.

Are replacement springs going to be available individual weights or springs only in sets of three?

SE car going to be ready to get here (w/springs, etc) by, say, April 8-9?

Thanks!!

Jason, Adrian-
do you guys still sell the IRS balance buttons? If so, will you please add one to my order. I made the order earlier today.
Thanks,

I almost bought that one myself! That was such a good deal. Glad I could find it for one of my racers even if they didn't buy it from me

Im still waiting but im sure i will move up

The springs will be sold as a set and probably individual pairs also. I was figuring selling them as a set because they wont collapse, i could discount a little and also save the customer some on shipping other thicknesses. I would like to hear how you guys would like them offered. It really doesnt matter to me.

The SE car should be ready very soon. The time needed is for the parts to get back from anodize. I am cutting the new aluminum parts now and they should be complete this coming week. Then they need to go out for plating. Once they come back they will have a little more machining done to them. I think that April 9th will be tight. If i can do it, I will let you know.I just need to get a little closer to completion before i can say for certain.

I need to improve my BMI

Jason, what I'm looking for and probably a lot of others is a simple rear ride height adjuster that doesn't require the need to use the current ride height adjusters. Serpent have a cam adjustment in the rear pod on their new car I believe.

What can you come up with????

You really can't get much simpler design wise then the current ride height adapters. The cam is actually a more complex design. All it really does is eliminate the need to carry more parts. However that will come at the expense of weight. Also it is very likely that when you turn the cam you will change the wheel base of the car. There really is not enough information out there yet on the Serpent's system yet to know one way or the other.
