Here is a video of the TISOC A-main in Nashville TN. I had to change my user name on Youtube so it shows to be my first video. Others are still up under 22945gt.

I suspect that not overfilling the diff cups is pretty important so do you think I did the right thing?
The weighing thing is kind of useless unless I am just doing it wrong. (Just breathing on the scale makes it change!)
I did the old fashioned way since I don't have a scale that measures 1/100th of a gram. I am sure I overfilled them a tiny bit. Fortunately my vast experience with gear diffs (uh my 2nd gear diff car vs. 100plus ball diffs) I left the 4 screws that tighten the diff a tad loose. There was a little leakage at one out drive but when I had the diffs out (wow was that ez or what) it wasn't much and I just wiped em down and tightened the screws and the next night was all good.
tech tip : Rather than take out the 2 swaybar screws I loosened the setscrew on the swaybar adjuster and slipped it off, the gearbox stayed on the sway bar.
Still have one shock cap weeping.
Love this car. Not the body so much.

Ran mine today for the first time, let me say first, it's the smoothest 1/10 car I've ever driven. It's so much fun to drive, you make some nice clean lines and it goes faster and faster. Only thing I did was take the front sway bar off. I also made some aluminum towers, I tested a quick prototype today so it looks unfinished but it worked great. No breakages or bending. I should have some nice quality ones soon that are anodized black. I'll post in a few days when they're ready.

Here's a picture of my car ready for the main, tq and win. This weekend will be the true test with all the fastest guys in the state.

Are you gonna have those al towers for sale? If so what would be the cost?

Is it just the towers that are breaking? Thought I saw reports of the diff housing breaking also. Just waiting on a fix and some spares to order one

So far people have had issues with:
Composite diff gear breaking
Carbon tower breaking
Diff housing tearing apart
Drive shaft pins pushing out of the plastic holder
Shocks leaking

BUT! Some people doesn't have had any issues at all.

What category I'll be in will be decided on saturday

Maybe Xray have made rod ends that are a bit too awesome. I rather see rod ends pop than having other parts break. I mean that it's better if a marshal can snap the car together than loosing the whole heat. Yes, I personally see them as fuses.

Default Team SR carbon fiber battery hold downs.

My friends at TSR just announced these cf battery hold downs. Copied from "RedRC".

More XB4 parts to come from TSR.

Give it a day or so on the towers and you should have your wish

The shocks worked fine for me, nice and smooth although they still leaked a bit by the cap. I saw someone else using black sealant around the threads so I'll give that a try.

I'm not sure if this is a good idea. Carbon does not flex as much as the plastic ones so they may be harder to move away when changing the battery. Just my first reaction though.
