What is a good gear ratio to start out with for vegas sized carpet track. Running 17.5 trinity D3.5 timing turned up. Thanks.

So after another long day of trying things and driving I think ive finally got my car on pace for my local 17.5 blinky class. it turns out short camber links and a high roll center was key as most of you suggested. Thank you.

Rick, thanks for posting this. I'm anxious to try it. I'm a little confused on the springs, though. What would be an equivelant to the HPI silver, in RSD or Associated? I tried doing the math on the rating and it came out to like 8 lbs/in. Is that right?

Thanks, Ryan

HPI Silver are roughly equivalent the new RSD Purple Spring. They are rated by HPI at 16.9lb springs.

From our tests, they are slightly stiffer than the RSD Red, and softer than AE blue. This is where the purple spring falls.
