Anyone using the exotek xray gear diff spurs?
If I want to change from 64 to 48, how is that done? What is the math?

Add the 100 and the 50 together you’d have 150 teeth. Divide in half that equals 75 teeth.
in short a 100 (64p) a 75 (48p) and a 50 tooth (32p) are all the same size and equal to each other. Hard to explain. Is that what you were asking?

Can someone educate me on the front damper tubes as a tuning aid.
It seems like a soft ie stock front spring with the damper tubes would help as the traction changed on a carpet track. Many times as the race day goes on some areas start to gain traction faster than orthers. Seems like this would even out the front end. Those that have used the front dampers, how and why did you use them?

I switched this car over to 48p after stripping the stock gears twice during a shake down at the local school yard for whatever reason. And yes, I know how to set gear mesh. Been running 64p on other cars/chassis.
The exotek gears for the xray diff work well enough. Not much to say about a spur gear that works. You can buy Kimbrough gears to run 48p with the ball diff if you want to. 1/8” balls.
as far as ratios, I’ve always used this

Anyone running full set of Exotek tires on black carpet yet? I looked through here and didn't find anyone comment on front tires yet. I was able to get a full set of reds. Wondering about gluing sidewalls in the front like we do with CRC tires. Any tips on if its necessary and how much to start with?

I purchased a set initially with when I got the car, about a month ago. My home track is a Gravity tire spec track. We have to run Gravity. Since Gravity was out of stock I tried these. As far as I can tell the red dot were far and away better than the new CRC or Gravity. I glued the front as high as the stickers go, I did not have any problem with rolling. I have to glue the CRC all the way up to the running surface to get that kind of performance. The rears did not seem to wear in quickly. It has taken 100s of laps to get rid of the seem.
If it were legal to run a tire of choice at my track I would def be using the Exotek.
