My Tekin arrived from Tekin. (Tanks Tekin. Is mine all arrived yet?)

I have tested it with a 9,5T Speedpassion. Started the end ratio on 4.9 and ended on 4,7. The speed didn't inprove because the track is to short for the top speed.
I moved it back to 4,9 and it went great. topspeed was good and accelteration was verry good.
Car reacted good. Head of the motor stayed under the 50degrees celcius and the esc only the 1 led.

100% timing and accelleration on 5.
Tomorow i'm going to change my cars setup for indoor and i'm going to put my 4,5 in it.
I have used a bigger cap. 4700/16v.
It worked gread.

Let you now how it goes indoor with a 4,5T

I guess it was in dual mode this setup? because the SP 9.5T Ultra Sportsman have locked timing, the only way to adjust timing is via Dual Mode...

no not in dual mode.
I will try that sunday. So that's even faster?
i used sensord only but is it better to drive the speedpassion in sensord/ sensorless mode?

Well according to this thread, yes! Gear the motor with zero timing, and find the right FDR, then to get top end adjust timing in Dual Mode, and then you should be flying... But on those tracks i run there is like 30-50 metres straights, and got to know it should be geared 5.5-6.0...

But tbh i havent even tried it myself, i got the SP 9.5T, but still waiting for the RS Pro to arrive...

Hey guys,

On the motor wire I'd just be cautious about running to small guage of wire. I know it helps with the T plate movement but be aware that you could be necking down the power. Try some really fine(ie high wire count) wire. You can try whatever you want but if the motor wires seem hotter then they should be, you're best off going with lower guage wire.

Running dual mode vs. Sensored only mode really depends on the motor. I still haven't seen where the SP motors are at in mechanical timing? If someone has that info I could make a strong suggestion. Until then My suggestion is to test them both.

I don't run 1/12 scale but I'm sure one of our team drivers will answer that for you quckly? Kenny L. You listening?

Please guys if you're having a set up issue with any tekin product hit me up via email: [email protected]

I'll work with you guys as fast as I can. We know we have some of the most advanced products on the market today. It's always nice to get a little guidance to get them to work at their best.

Randy-
I haven't been able to find this info anywhere. Is there a way I can tell by taking apart my SP 13.5?

I will say that I assumed the fixed timing was low, run in dual mode, and set the timing to 90% and the thing hauls.

That's pretty much what we did in Vegas with the 17.5 motors. I thought I heard Kenny say the timing was locked somewhere around 10 - 12 deg.

I found the best running was to run Hybrid mode. I tried running sesored only and really gearing motor never could get topspeed as having lots of timing.Timing on speedpassion alone is somewhere between 13-15 from what I was told . Here is setup I'm running now. This is also same setup I did for Donny Lia's car too.

motor= Speed Passion 17.5
drag = 25
rev = 0
brake = 75
neutral = 10
blfw
throt = 5
volt = 0
push = 0
timing = 100
current = off

is it possible we build up a database for the settings for different motors in different turns.
for example i don't know what is the motor of kenny.
for myself i am looking for a setup for 3 turn lrp motor and a very large track with a very long straight line.

Has there been any study's done on if you go up in the timing, say from 80-90, that the change of 10 is equivalent to how much of a gear change?

I would start with similiar settings to my 17.5 maybe turn up drag brake a bit, and turn down timing in esc to 50 to start with no motor timing and check heat. I have found lrp motors heat up when you time the motor.
