Finished the car

And... i rounded those copper screw at the front of the car like i was told NOT to do ahah anyways... enjoy the photo's.

Sorry about the sizes

I had 1 grip about the whole kit. Why do they put the same screw sizes in different bags? there was 7 in 1 and 8 in another and 2 in 1 lol... it was stupid. Also the rear tyres dont seal up correctly. do i have to do anything to make them sit flush?

They do that to make it easier to build...if you follow along properly with the instructions they tell you which bag to open at a time. That way you never get screws mixed up.

F104x1 is out now and available in japanese stores. i went to Futaba sangyo in akihabara yesterday and they had 15 kits! It looks so beautifull!! the titanium color parts look so good. im trying to convince my wife to let me buy one today. (i already have 104w so it might be a hard sell haha)

i was looking to use 48p spur instead of the tamiya spur. i try kawada spur but theare very thin so there is not much enough mesh for pinion. can some one point me in direction of some thicker 48p spur

thanks

you can try kimborough spurs - those are usually some of the thickest you can get

I am sure you can. Will it be worth it for what parts you have to buy no one knows. We have to wait until someone actually gets one of these in hand to see.

Can't even imagine what each part will cost from Tamiya.

Actually, I can imagine the cost.

Well i decided to play workbench aerodynamicist. I took a wing from an onroad car and trimmed it to the width of the mp4/6 wing. then mounted it between the mount and original wing. now i have about 1/4 inch spoiler on the tip of the wing. I had also noticed the front wing had an odd shape underneath which would likely create lift. I glued 2 pieces of lexan over the concave area to give it a real wing shape. Next step, underbody. pics will come later.

It is always easier to ask forgiveness than permission.
