I was thinking, my car seems to understeer to the right and spin out to the left. Now ive tried every trick i know from adding weight to one side to balance the car out more, checked servo travel in both directions and center to make sure its equal, made sure the rear wing was on straight. And while all together they helped a tad it is still not fixed completely. I dont care if it spins out both ways or understeers both ways, but atleast let it be equal.

The rear pod could be binding on the body.

Or a battery wire pushing the body to bind upon the pod etc.

That could also be a bearing that seizes up under a lateral load[in a turn].

Hi All,

If you guys want, I can post pictures of the build but it will slow down my already super slow build process

Depending on how the FRP edges look, I may finish them like I do with all my CF pieces. It takes time (sand off sharp edges, glue edges with multiple thin coats, sand smooth, and polish).

The good news is that I will transplant my electronics from my current F104 Pro into the X1. I also have a freshly finished Ferrari body ready to go.

You're right Mike, that video is sweet. I like all the fat tire F1s too.
Guess they like goin really fast.
The "Parade" cars have their place too since they do bring the modern look.
Zilladude, can't imagine you could possibly build it any other way.
It just wouldn't be up to your flawless standards.
Just stay on it and have it ready for show on Sunday. :sneaky
Documenting the build with pics would be killer but if you think it's gonna slow the build too much, how bout just snappin shots of the new rear section's parts and assembly.

well, decided to go a bit crazy on the front wing this time. The magenta parts are the glue not properly set yet. I tested it and honestly it works much much better than when i added caster. I dont have to brake any more when entering the corners at the small track i run in my street. And even though im coming in much faster im not washing out to the edge of the street s easily anymore. im sure the effects would be much bigger on a real track. I also noticed it lifted a bit of dust off the ground as it ran at top speed.




You cant really see it when runing which is great.

Okay, had some time this afternoon to atleast look at the box and contents. My initial impressions are mixed. For a limited release vehicle, I assumed that it would include a healthy portion of options. I still have not had a close inspection but it looks like I'll be adding additional option parts right away. The gun metal finish is awesome but will look weird mixed with the blue stuff that I may be adding.

I will attempt to build and set this car for use at the Tamiya America track in Aliso Viejo so any hints and tips that I share will be primarily geared for that track and racing surface.

I just realized that despite the beautiful finish of the satin chrome wheels, the finish needs to be sanded off where it contacts the tire for a better glue bond. That sucks, but I guess that's the price you pay to pimp

For reference, here's a blurry picture of my F104 as it sits now. Please note, the tires are hard fronts and kit rears. I only use them for storage, and well...the fronts formed a nice white haze after a few months in a box
